Hi There,
i was just wondering if anybody could help me with my anxiety problems.
yesterday i was on the phone with a HB from school.. im talking to her i say hi how are you etc... then i stop..
just dont know what to say.evenually after about 5 mins of not talking to her on the phone, i get nervous and say bye and hangup...
any ideas..?

Talk. Talk. Talk. Talk to your friends. Talk to your family. Make the extra effort to say 'hi' and 'how are you' when being served in the store when you could easily get away with saying a lot less. When your buddies are talking, don't just sit there and let someone else direct every conversation, interject your own thoughts once in a while and try to steer the conversation to your own territory. Practice talking in all of these situations and it will become easier and more natural in the presence of HBs too.

Dunno what to talk about? Listen to the radio. Read newspapers. Find out what's going on in the world. Have your head full of so much information that you've just got to tell someone.

Just keep on talking. The more you practice it, the easier it becomes.
