| Some time ago I found myself in an airplane planning to read some material and maybe just spending time with a nice book (not PUA related).
In comes a girl and asks me if she can sit next to me... Well, sure thing, go ahead whatever, thats what I show since I am trying to decide for if I should invest in a nice pizzaslice or a snickers for the flight (around 2 hours long).
*Unintentional neg*
I decide on something and look up, the plane is not full but she chose the seat next to me anyway (she did not go for the windowseats). So I realize that I need to make conversation to not make the whole trip unpleasant (after all I just can not ignore her). I open up with guessing her nationality based on her behaviour (offhand key charasteristics in behaviour), well I was wrong and she had the same nationality as me. *Unintentional Cold reading, DHV*
She keeps talking to me while I watch the security show they always do...
*Unintentional IOI and neg*
I fluff a bit and it turns out that we live quite close to each other, I start asking about different clubs and f she has any favourite places. It turns out that she is a fashion design student (in fact I guessed it with another unintentional cold reading) and goes on the premieres of a lot of fashion shows. We start talking about that and she mentions that she gets in even though not invited because she dresses up and acts important and tells me that it is all about attitude. (She couldnt have served me a better topic.) Since I love inner game and attitude, value, body language, social skills etc it does not take much effort to enter her world, master it, have a really nice conversation and actually teach her some things. During the conversations I mentioned my friend (my wing) and that we sometimes end up not dancing in clubs but instead watch peoples reactions, body language etc (in field training).

She asks me for my job and I answer truthfully (it is quite cool but I have gotten tired of people being impressed so I tried to change subject). I change the subject into travels. and it appears that she likes flying.

I tell her about a travel I made when I flew for like 2 days straight because I had to change planes etc. In this story one of the most important protagonists is my ex-GF.

She mentions that she has a BF in passing but that she has trained him to not be jelous, we fluff about it for some time. Then I realize that she has been IOIing me for the last 10 minutes when my food arrives. I eat my food and realize that I ignore her.

We fluff a bit about stuff that we have seen and done, I show her some pics from my travels on my digital camera.

She tells me some things that I find interesting and I ask her about a few faschinating stuff.

I ask about how she met her BF etc. She stresses the point that she is not much of a fan of commitments and thus never have a BF for long. I tell her that yeah, it can be difficult to resist sometimes.
*IOI!!!!*
Now for the first time I realize that she actually looks quite good, like a HB7.5. Anyways, I say that well, since we live close to each other we could go out and sneak in to some fashion shows together. She thinks that it is a good idea since I would most likely help her appearance (by peacocking etc)... Here she goes to the bathoom and we reinitiate the conversation on antoher topic.
We fluff for the rest of the trip and when the plane has landed everyone else panic to get out as fast as possible, I just take it easy and we keep talking. I start saying "Hey, maybe we should..." And she says "... yeah, we should exchange numbers!!!" (That was not what I was going for (I just wanted my bag that was safely stowed in the overhead compartment) but sure, why not.
She gives me her number and I ask her what name I should put it under. She tells me and it is this really old fashioned name so I just say "Well in that case I change my mind" with a big smile but put it dowwn anyway.
So were gonna meet up later on and Im sure its gonna be a blast! Shes my ticket into the fashionshows and supermodels etc.
So bottom line of this long story. I did not mean to pick her up, I just wasnt thinking about it. My social programming has changed so much that my default behaviour pattern is pickup! To be frank I got a bit surprised when I realized in the end that we were actually interacting in a pickup sense.
