Well, where to begin... I went out a little to early for the strip I picked. Mental note: 8-9 is not the time. When people finally started showing up I paid my cover and went on in. I chilled with security for a few minutes to ease the tension I had just to get into a kind of talkative mindset. Every time I go into this dance club there are tons of beautiful women but it always seems that everyone there, literally everyone, knows each other. I was solo so I didn't have a wing. I knew no one there. I have been working on my approach anxiety which I can honestly say is getting better. But, this night at this dance club I wasn't feeling it. Every set I opened just seemed to always see someone they knew and ran off. After a few sets I was getting frustrated so I decided to move to a new venue. I thought maybe a new location would do better, I was right. I walked down the street to a popular bar that usually brings in great bands to play sets. I've started to frequent this bar more and more. I guess I am building comfort there. I know I should put myself in more uncomfortable venues and I plan to do that more. As I got to the bar I had already picked my target. She was hanging all over this guy and she was the hottest thing there. I got to the bar and situated myself next to the guy and ordered a beer. I guess I got kind of lucky because the dude went to take a piss, so I moved in. I started with a usual opener "Girls with tattoos" and threaded to guy piercings, etc. This is one thing I want to note about other sets. I usually run out of stuff to say. I can open great but keeping the attention is something I need to work on. Any help is appreciated as I am flying solo. Anyway, I started making smalltalk, building kino when the guy comes back. He starts to move up on her and she literally pushes him away and moves closer to me. Big IOI. At this point I am pretty sure I can move her and as I go to advise we grab a booth she comes in and starts to make out with me right at the bar. It caught me off guard. I pulled back and was like "Woah, five bucks to kiss me like that." She gave me the puppy eyes and stuck out her lower lip. I told her to buy me a drink and MAYBE we could continue. She ordered shows of tequila. We did end up making out a little more. I had to take a piss so I excused myself. When I came out the guy was back and she was hanging on him again. I guess Style was right when he wrote as fast as you can get attraction you can lose it. Instead of trying with her again I moved on. Honestly I never got her name. I opened a few more sets that night and made some friends but nothing serious.

Any criticism or comments are welcome. I am entirely new to this. Because I am flying solo I really don't have anyone to discuss my failed sets with so I will continue to post here. I would like to know what I did wrong and how to fix it, etc.
