I seem to be my own worst enemy when it comes to pickup. I struggle with approach anxiety around attractive women, just like everyone else, but I recently realized that I have what you would call an inner game problem as well.

I've noticed that I have this negative attitude sometimes when I go out to do approaches. It's like I assume that I'm going to fail before I've even started approaching. And it's extremely frustrating! I'll pass up opportunity after opportunity due to this feeling, and each time it happens it reinforces my negativity, and I feel even worse. It gets to the point where I just think, "I'm not even capable of approaching, let alone seducing anyone, I should just go home", etc. etc.

I need to find some way of breaking the cycle, because I know I'll never have much success if I keep on wallowing in self-pity. Has anyone else been through this before?

i had the same problem we all have. this is the first step to pick up artist bro. you just got to change it around. when ur sarging dont be the guy looking down with his hands in his pocets be ur alter ego the guy you want to be who says u cant walk up to a girl smile and just be cool like you do it all the time.BUT BRO what exactly about yourself gives u this attitude

From what i've realized "You are you're own worst enemy", and that's not limited to Pick up.

I do think the age bracket makes a difference.
If you're planning on gaming 18-24 yr old girls, don't worry to much about MM material and just be light and fun and fairly direct.
24+ I can see indirect being better because girls seem to have better Bitch sheilds and what not to try weed out the jerks that have fucked their brains out that all went direct in the first place (naturals :L)
Difference is between the jerks and us is, we treat them right after we sweep em off their feet.

But most diffidently try not to over think it, and just go for it and see where you wind up.
Usually when you start out, i think most PuA's are blown out fairly regularly and off of their experiences I can see them turning them into humours stories and eventually even moving in the true mind set which women are attracted to.
