Getting pumped when or feel down or in the morning

So, most days I wake up feeling like the world is out get me, that im broke and that im screwing up everything. I think most people can remember at least one day that they felt like this.

However, over the last few weeks I've found something that helps... really helps.

Before bed, regardless of when you get there, 30-60 push ups.
then go to sleep, take some valerium root tablets (over the counter, natural) if like me, you wake up randomly at night/don't feel rested in the morning.

get up, and do 30-60 push ups.

and now, for the AMAZING bit:
I listen to music that gets me pumped. While this isn't my usual style of music preference, listen to the words, and feel the emotions.

Here's my playlist:

#1 Not Afraid, by Eminem. Truly awesome lyrics, nice beat. 1 verse and last verse are the best.

#2 Dirt off your Shoulder, by Jay-Z/Linkin Park

#3 Hip Hop Saved my Life, by Lupe Fiasco

#4 WARP by the Bloody Beetroots, ft. Steve Aoki. "1 2 woop woop"

#5 Superstar, by Lupe Fiasco

#6 Dancing in the Moonlight, by Toploader.

#7 BONKERS, by Dizzee Rascal

#8 The Opposite of Adults, by Chiddy Bang

#9 Not Afraid, by Eminem. A repeat yes, but amazing.

While some of those are kind of like 'fuck the world, i'm going to make it anyway', they do make you feel good, specially if you are feeling it.

All the while, keep thinking that you are going to end up on the top.

Oh and, listen to them LOUD. and know the lyrics, it really does help.


Also, if you are/were like me and used to wack off several times a day, dont. just dont do it for one day, try cutting it down. that day makes you feel horny all the time, and for some reason chicks seem to dig this.

That's good advice - my boyfriend is really down at the moment for the same reasons as you - the no money and the feeling of screwing up everything so I'm going to suggest he try this.

yea I agree music gets me through a lot of tough times.

I would also like to point out how I think your playlist is sick man. Chiddy bang is sick and obvi eminem

I don't recommend the pushups before bed. It messes up something called your circadian rhythm. We learned this in medical school.
Your body tends to work like a machine. It's cold in the morning, warms up, gets hot around midday and cools down in the evening in time for bed. Making your body hot before going to bed pushes your rhythm down so you feel more awake at night. The pushups in the morning are perfect. It accelerates your body getting warm, so you feel awake early.
