For the past month I have been studying this PUA stuff. I have learned all the tactics, techniques, heard all the audio, watched all the video. I have been studying how to become charismatic, how to be good with people, how to get girls to like me.

Then I came to a sudden realization: why am I going back and learning all this stuff when I ALREADY HAVE THESE SKILLS!?!?!

Let me explain, as I said in one of my earlier posts, I used to be good with women! When I was a kid, I was outgoing, sociable, energetic, funny, charismatic. I made everyone laugh and was always the center of attention. Later I got shy and awkward, and I have only gotten worse since my initial downfall in 6th grade.

So what is the point in going back and learning all this stuff, when it is already inside me? What I really need to do is get the charismatic guy to come out.

I still have my days when I feel good, I am good with people, and chicks are attracted to my personality. The next day I am awkward and shy and people dislike me again. This may last a week or two before I get an emotional high again.

Now, even when I get on a high, and a girl starts to talk to me, or I make a new friend, I will try to get rid of them quickly, because I know tomorrow I will most likely not be able to live up to the standards they are holding me to today. It is a terrible feeling.

Why does this happen? And how can I get my good side to shine all the time?

Because you aren't confident in yourself. If you're always worried that you wont be up to someones standards, you will always live in fear. If you keep avoiding you're also avoiding your chances of success.

Just be confident and trust in yourself man!

Ok good advice, but that only helps on the days that I feel good. Other days I am awkward and shy, and I can be confident but its like there is a mental block that won't let me access my wit and charm.

This is a broad, open ended question that nobody can answer but yourself. I will however suggest one method: stop analyzing why you're not confident. That question will always reaffirm that you are not confident. Instead, go out and try many different social situations until you DEVELOP confidence. I'm a believer that confidence is something you earn from trying and failing.

Excellent article overPlay. Last friday I went to a party and experienced the best high I have had in probably two months. I did what you said by trying to control it and not let it control me, and it actually lasted for two days.

The third day, however, I was in probably one of the worst states I could possibly be in. I was in a situation that was an extremely rich target environment, and me and my wing man Gambit opened a set which I completely blew. I will cover the details in another post, but overall I approached three sets and blew three sets that night.

Ethan glad you liked the article.. Just remember, you've got to last the rest of your life-- and if it's high and low all the time it will be a very emotional ride! Enjoy, don't suffer x peace
