I am fairly new to game and have one major concern

I feel comfortable talking to good looking girls 6/7, but when it comes to 7/8/9's i feel completely inadequate

I keep telling myself of my qualities, I am fairly good looking, completing a masters degree, very sporty, very sociable and have really exciting plans and aspirations for the future. However for some reason a voice in my head says that really good looking women just don't go for people like me.

for example in the past whenever i have got close to a girl i feel strongly for, they have said LJBF and I am left with a feeling that they only date guys that are another level to me. For this reason I feel uncomfortable about competition from other guys and assume a reluctance to losing the girl.

Where should I start to address this issue?, any little practices or exercises would be brilliant. I'm currently trying to game a girl who i really like but am worried that my lack of confidence/ knowledge of the game will lose me any chance of getting this girl i may have had - should i keep her as an acquaintance and try when im more confident?
