Ambition - I keep hearing that women are attracted to men who have ambition and have goals.

Should I fake it or enhance my smaller modest goals? I only wish to become a videogame designer, do what I love and set aside a modest amount each month for retirement.

Self Esteem - Basically sense of self worth? I don't think I have excelled or failed at any particular thing, I graduated with a pass, have a regular but boring job at a bank. I've seen losers with much more self confidence then I ever had. When I see HB corporate bankers my age already hanging out with socialites and celebrities, it makes me feel small.

The obvious solution here on paper would be for me to seek something greater, achieve it and success will come my way?

Well if you notice you have an ambition -- to be a video game designer.

What it seems like is that you are missing the self-confidence behind it.

You have to see yourself, regardless of either society or the general fad, as worth a great deal.

From your post it seems you may be questioning your own self worth.
Ask yourself these questions:
Do you compare your ambitions to be a video game designer to other professions and think people will laugh at them or think its less important?

Do you worry about saying you are going to become a Video Game desginer?

Do you care what people say and think in general?

If you answer yes to these questions, then you need to begin to look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself to buck up. Confidence and self worth go hand in hand. IF you want something and you are going to go get it, then you better feel damn good about it.

People said I was full of Sh!t when I said I was going to sell supplies to South America and I walked around like I was Steve Jobs. Eventually I accomplished my goal and people are on my ass. But I never thought for a moment that my goal ws stupid or a less valuable than say a lawyer or doctor.

What does everyone else think on here?
