Perhaps the most important thing to remember in the Game, and life in general, is not to try too hard. But also, not to try hard enough. That's what AFCs either usually do. They either do anything they can possibly think of in an effort to pick up a chick or they have virtually no self esteem that they don't do anything at all. But a master PUA has the balance just right. He makes it seem he's hardly putting any effort into his pick up attempts, but on the inside he's quietly observing the strategy involved and recognising and correcting faults as necessary.
Also, another aspect is not being too good, but on the other hand, not being too bad either. After all, no one likes a jerk, but if you're too much of a nice guy you're just going to be on the friends list. Basically, we always have to strive for this neutral state.
So, in the end, just go out there and have fun. Don't get too hung up on trying to get laid, or receiving a nice blowjob from a HB10. Mingle, express yourself, try out a few PUA techniques perhaps; but don't try to be Mystery or whoever overnight. Overall, be yourself, and be fairly indifferent to the results you may wish to obtain. Good luck!
