A few days ago I was going for a walk, trying to get some stress out of my system, and I snapped. No other way to say it. It's like everything I have been trying to turn myself into happened all at once. I am much more comfortable socially, I can focus on conversations, and I am much, much more self secure... and it all happened instantly(as in one step I was one person, and the next I was the new me). Is this a common thing?

Nothing happens in an instant. You just had a mind-lapse that threw out the "I dont give a shit" endorphin and you immediately felt confident.

It's not that you changed per say, it's that you've found something inside yourself. Don't feel surprised if it "snaps back" the next time you get rejected, the goal is working on keeping that same motivational feeling going.

Yeah, nothing completely changes over night. You had an epiphany about yourself. You have to harness that range of thought in order to fully become that person.

Wow that sounds intense and I gotta admit: I kind of disagree with Razzix and Nuked on this one that you can't just *snap* and change; I've seen some really radical things come from the human mind!
Besides, if there's anything my psychology courses have taught me, it's to expect the unexpected from humans!

Similar things have also happened to me, but it was never a *snap* but more of a:
-"You know what? I'm going to do something radical in the next few instants that will totally change my life forever!"

Brainz I'm sorry to say it but there is no way to just change. Personal/emotional change takes work. You have to continue with that train of thought and not regress.
