Posts: 5 | | Fuck , i hate this - when nice guy ring my phone i don't answer . Today my close relative rang me from unknown number and i answer it. This marry christmas bullshit - i can't stand. So if i didn't say back marry christmas and all this bullshit he would be upset , and he is my relative , and i shouldn't answer by the way but i did it and i feel terrible . In every such nice guy situation i feel terrible if i didn't manage to avoid it. How do you manage such interractions with "nice" energy drainers , who are your relatives.

Posts: 2817 | | Just put on your acting shoes and play the role. Be nice, but also be a little extra fake so that they eventually pick up on the fact that you are "just trying to be nice." That's a good way to hint to them that you are not interested in the touchy feely verbal bullshit but yet go about it in a nice way so they don't lose face.
