Does anyone else have made-up conversations with people they love/hate in their minds?

Something like this:
Me: Dude, I'm gonna punch you in the face.
Him: I wanna watch you try.
Me: *does*
*blah blah blah blah*
They usually make more sense though. They seem like they're what I actually want to do with the person but I'm afraid to somehow.

Mine are pretty obsessive and they really bother me if I'm around people, I just can't talk at those moments. If I'm scared from something and I keep battling it in my head I become totally paralized irl, but if I'm in love with someone the feeling fades irl.

Yeah, that might just be your shadow. Which is not to say dark or evil, it's just so much of your personality that is unexplored and kept in the closet so to speak, because our childhood conditioning and the socializing process teaches us that certain things are appropriate and certain are not. You can't get rid of who you are, so when you try it ends up in the unconscious.

It's not really a problem unless you think you have to act on it. If you learn to meditate, and dis-identify yourself with your thoughts you can have a great time assigning different characters to those inner voices and wonderful self revealing conversations. A lot can be funny, some will be dark and violent, some unabashedly sexual. Almost guaranteed to be grossly inappropriate. Basically all the interesting aspects of human nature that we try to amputate in modern society and glorify on tv.

Enjoy the ride man. It's not something you HAVE to fight or chase off if you don't want to. Accept the unknown and but keep sound judgement. No matter what is going on in your head, you always have choice. Seriously though. Learn to meditate. While this isn't a problem by default, you gotta have a handle on it and learn to set time and place, and how to keep yourself clear so you can engage with the people and world around you without getting lost inside your head. Kinda like we set aside spaces where it's okay to poop, but in front of friends isn't it.

This is actually a wonderful opportunity. You get a chance to see who you would be no holds barred if you had absolutely no restrictions whatsoever. Then you get to choose and act in a way that is wise and appropriate for your outside landscape and reality. Big growth opportunity.
