hey thanks for the reply, yea so the consensus is take the Hemingway route and replace one girl with ten. I find I enrapture and disappoint, I've been in situations where I go in and talk to people, not seduction etc but just talking, and they seem to just love me but after a while I guess I just seem to drift away ?

How to avoid it, dont get emotionally attached to any girl before you know her.
stupid question here I guess, any tips or methods on keeping emotional distance/erasing emotional attachments. At the moment I think I'm too happy and too... needy ?

Yes, there are no real techniques for it, just a different mindset.
We want to fall in love, we want it so desperately that we justify it by pretending that we cant help it. But we often decide on it. You have a say in it, if you remember when you were younger you had like 2-3 different girls you were interested in, then when it was time, you chose which one you would fall for. And did. You would never admit it but this is what you did. And you fell for her telling everyone including yourself that it wasnt your fault that you fell for her, even sometimes without her knowing who you were. All of this just to justify the action of falling for someone you had no clue who it was or even if she knew you existed.
Same thing here, you chose it. At an early stage you could have said, no I dont wanna fall for that one, she is stupid or ugly or skinny or fat or whatever. You made the choice.
Dont do that.
