So I was in my calculus class and right behind me sits a very cute, who later I find out is Italian, girl. I would say a good 7, 7.5. Well anyway, I was doing my work, finished a little bit early and for about 5 minutes I debated to start talking to her or not. After the five minutes of debating (I know stupid of me) I ended up initiating her with:
me: (turn my head) Oh wow you are gripping your pencil way to hard, I can tell you are having a tough time with your math (smile).
her: o no not really, haha, but if you want you can always help me (smiles)
me: Oh I dont know I think you are gonna have to pay me for that kind of service (I pulled out a fake business card I had made for my business and finance class). Call me with your proposition.
her: Oh wow, haha, your so organized and everything!
... conversation continued from there...
we swapped names, I gave her my number cuz of the fake card (a mistake?) so she offered me hers...

Fact was it would have never have happened if i didnt go for it in the first place...

stepping out of my comfort zone, turning around, and just making an observation started the conversation and everything fell into place.

Don't get worried, if you think you will look stupid... who cares...
if you think you said the wrong thing...who cares
all you have done is gain experience and ultimately improved your confidence level a but more than when it started.

That's awesome man, you have the right attitude! It starts with a single step, and if you mess up you're the only one that knows it. Just keep going and see what happens.

And there's no such thing as a failure, unless you don't go for it. You can always learn from your messups, but you won't learn anything if you don't even try.
