I'm 16 years old, in highschool.

A lot of people call me goofy. I don't ever really get invited to parties.

I've never had a girlfriend, and I've always been the funny kid. In the summer before sixth grade I think, I went to this camp and 3 girls all liked me but I didn't go out with them because I didn't want to introduce them to my parents. One of them was really fucking hot but another reason I didn't date her was because it was the last dayof camp that they told me and I didn't know how to tell just one girl I liked her out of the three of them, they were in a group.

Anyways, everybody calls me goofy. Even when I'm not acting goofy, the people that call me goofy say something to me and when I say something back they're just like "Hahaha so goofy"

I don't think I look goofy necessarily, but I've looked in the mirror and anytime I smile I look goofy. Especially when I'm seeing if I'm getting more facial hair or something, and I'm in front of the mirror and someone in my family says something funny and I laugh then look at myself, like when it's a natural laugh.

Once I asked a girl what people meant when they called me goofy because I didn't know what she meant, and she's like "There's two kinds of goofy. One's bad and ones good. You're not the bad kind." That's nice and all but it's not like she likes me or anything so it doesn't exactly matter if I'm the "Good kind", if no girls like me. I mean I've heard a few fat girls say I was cute, but I don't want to be only dating fat girls. Or any fat girls at all honestly.

The girl I like laughs a lot when I say something funny. I've always heard that girls like funny guys, but that alone definitely isn't enough to make a girl like you, from what I've experienced. But yeah there's this girl that doesn't know when people are serious or not, and someone at my lunch table told her to come over, and then she was fucking with her and saying she should date me. There's only me and one other guy at the table, so she didn't choose me to be the one to say she should date because of anything personal. But then the girl I like was talking to her and asked her if she liked some show or something, and then she was saying I looked like someone from the show and that the girl should date me. It might have just been because my hair is longish and brown like his, but I guess if she really thought I looked like him besides my hair it would be a complement. So idk she might like me. What do you think?

Is it possible to change how you act? If anything I'd say I'm the bad kind of goofy because what I imagine the good kind to be would be someone who's confident and is cool, and I'm not really either. Is it possible for me to become cool before highschool is over?

I didn't want to go on yahoo answers because they all say "Don't worry it's something every single person goes through at your age!!!" Like bullshit. Why am I the only one people call goofy then?

hey man I usually dont respond to these high school stories but ill give you some sage advice. Any kind of goofy is bad, thats all you need to know, there is no good kind of goofy because any kind of goofy wont get girls. Also dont ask girls advice on girls, that will get you nowhere.

You write well so obviously you are smart and hopefully going to college, I wouldn't worry about high school right now, I would read as much game material as possible before college and look to be successful by approaching and opening chicks outside of your high school who dont know your reputation as the funny goofy kid. Are there some clubs or place you can go to meet girls outside of school? I would work on that and educate yourself, you have a long time to improve if you start now.

Thanks man, and yeah I've thought about it before and every time I think about it all I think is that no matter what people are gonna think I'm acting goofy, because they've always thought that. Even if I change in highschool everyone's just gonna think I'm depressed now or something because I don't joke as much. And there's not much to do in my town to meet girls that don't go to your school unless you're able to go inside of bars without getting carded. But I've met a few decent girls this year so I guess I'll just try and impress them.

Don't try to explicitly impress girls, it wont work. High school is a finite environment so ya you dont have much chance of much progress unless you can pay for some hot fake girlfriend to bring up your status or become a star athlete.

work on improving your game outside of school so when you go to college and/or get out of your town you can remake yourself into a less goofy, more confident guy. And I saw you were 16 so bars arnt an option for a long time, but that doesn't matter, think of clubs, the malls, bookstores, clothing stores, parks, etc. all those places you can approach girls your age, start approaching and opening girls and reading material and you will improve

Yeah maybe I could go to the county library, a lot of times there's a decent girl or two there. Thanks for the advice
