I started reading the secret the other night...got about 60 pages in before I started thinking deeply about what I want so that I can begin attracting them to me. There are so many things going on in my mind I'm not even sure where to begin.

There's this feeling of loss, this sinking in my stomach a lot of the times, wanting to be loved I guess. I'm looking for it in all the wrong places too. Going after my female friends, girls who just play game, or women with boyfriends.

On the other hand I crave social power within my group of friends. There is this one girl...I've been friends with her for 4 years...I've liked her almost the whole time. She seems to be in control of it. We have some power-plays with each other to see who is a more dominant force in the group.

One of the things is when we go out. I'd like to be able to pick up girls in front of her and my other friends to build that power and enjoy myself. Sometimes I get so nervous being out that I feel paralyzed with fear. Some people say just confront your fears and after you will feel great but for me personally if I approach a girl and get blown out I feel like crap.

There are other things I would like...to be more productive, be happier, learn to let things go, make more money and in general be a better person etc but I feel the issues above or more suited to these forums...

You know fellas I feel like I stepped into a sand pool of negativity and the more I tried to get out the deeper I fell and now I'm not even bothering.

Any advice??

If you need help figuring out what area of your life to work on, I would suggest that you ask yourself why you want the things you do, as it might help you determine what's really important to you.

The absolute best way I know of to eliminate fear, which might very well help you have that social power you seek, is to eliminate the beliefs that are preventing you from doing it.
