I have used this site for quite a while now, read many posts and threads, and meditation always seems to get brought up.

May I ask why meditiation is so important to one? Or let me re-phrase this in a better way, why is meditation so important to a PUA?

"The goal of this meditation is the beautiful silence, stillness and clarity of mind"

If I turn off all the music in my room, shut the door turn of my lights, and lay still, am I meditating? Therefore before I sleep every night I do meditate (trying to sleep)

Can someone please explain to me:

1)What exactly meditation is?
2)How does it benefit one?
3) What is the best way to meditate?
4) For how long at a time, how many times a day?
5) What results should be seen?

Thank you

No that is not meditation. I have been a student of the occult for like 4 years and there are lots of benefits to meditating. One thing to realize though, is that there are so many levels and possibilities under the blanket if meditation. You may just want to experience some true peace and relaxation, or you may want to delve deep into your subconscious. All of this takes practice and devotion. There are a fuck million meditative techniques, so ill let you study, practice, and figure what works best for you.

When I was first getting into the occult...I would normally meditate n work on asanas n pranayama for 4-6 hours a day...now I meditate a couple times a week. I contour a time limit I just do what I do int'l I don't do it anymore. The benefits are a billionfold. Relaxation, peace of mind, clarity, understanding chains of events which carry with them enhanced limiting belief, true brain efficiency are all examples. As always though...if you understand, you have no idea. Its not about cut and dry answers. Its about fostering experiences by which you can transform into the highest versions of self and noself.

See this is where I get frustrated, I come to THIS site to find what is the best way to meditate. I come here for your opinions, not to be refered to another site. I am asking YOU guys what do you think the best way to meditate is, for someone like me who is new to the subject.

I want to be given a detailed way to do it so i can follow it through and post my replies here.

The reason I avoided your other questions is because they are awful broad.

1)What exactly meditation is?
2)How does it benefit one?
3) What is the best way to meditate?
4) For how long at a time, how many times a day?
5) What results should be seen?

This will all be covered in these two articles:

http://www.dhammaloka.org.au/articles/i ... ation.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditation
You have sent me this before. I therefore am asking you if you could be so kindly to summarize your viewing of meditation (this - because obviously you follow this link) and explain yow you meditate and what PERSONAL changes have occured in your life due to meditation

I have experienced becoming more calm. For example, I would have not liked you after my interactions with you on this forum. However, I'm able to not only interact with difficult people but also empathize with them.

As far as game goes, I am more calm and able to game without a lot of the things that made it not as fun before. I also adapt easier and am able to relate to people on a more emotional level, something that I struggled with in the past.

P.S. It's obvious you will benefit from meditation. You won't have the anger, impatience, and self centric view of the world you currently do. You'll be much more pleasant to be around. :)
Ouch man, you say that and you dont even know me ;))

therefore my question is still not answered, what is the best way to meditate, i want to do it in an hour and have no clue how...

There is no "right" way to meditate...its about finding what works for you and doing it...also go do some research n start working...its not about asking for the best technique because whatever works best for someone else may not work well for you. The benefits you will get to your game is that you will be peacefully in the moment. You wont have to worry about what routine to use next, you will just be in the moment n feel it. Also, once u calm that ego a little bit, girls will feel your better energy. So in closing...there is no best technique, just try a bunch n see what works well for u. Also, don't get frustrated when u only get like 1 second of nonthought every once in a while..once you learn to let all the thoughts go, it will be the norm.

True meditation is in just being...
when you're in a state of non-doing...
and you simply are...
just existing...

If you try to meditate then it's false...
meditation is a state that comes when all doing has ceased...

Here's a good guideline. Got it from a Living Legends song "angels with dirty faces."

Close your eyes. Know that the world goes on without you. Get YOUR shit handled.

You're your own island. This world is the ocean. Your shoreline is your frame.

Know your shores. Do this alone. Get the shit inside your head straight. Open your eyes. Look out at the ocean. Hold your frame. It's life baby. The game.
