I'm not a druggie....i just smoke marijuana on a regular....not when i go in-field, as that would mess up my interactions....but every night before i go to sleep (insomnia)....or when i'm really down in the dumps....i want to know if this is affecting my inner-game (self-esteem, confidence, etc...) and to what extent it could affect it....
It's something i enjoy...but will have to kick if it's keeping me from achieving my goals with people (especially women)..i know it's viewed as bad, but don't come at me from a preachers, parents, teachers, governments, etc... point of view....tell me what you think as a friend...as i can't stand being preached to....

thanks
DAN213 :)

Few ideas.

If you're using it every night and when you're feeling low, there is a relationship between these two frames. Depending on what kind of relationship this is, there could be some self-esteem matters going: hard to say. I don't imagine it's letting you get a good rest, which could also be hampering your ability to maintain a high energy, positive state.

In short: hugs, not drugs.

Alright, let's get this out of the way first : I do drugs (marijuana very regularly, but hey, that isn't really a drug), and some of the harder stuff recreationally. I know the pros and cons, and this is my experience as a daily marijuana smoker.

Actually, if you do anything simply as recreation, and not regularly, it is not going to affect your confidence or self-esteem, or anything in your life. So squash that thought if it's a joint you smoke every week or a line you do every month.

As a heavy cannabis user, I can absolutely testify that there is nothing better in the world. I've been smoking every day for the past 2 years (with a few tolerance breaks every now and then), and honestly, my life has only been on the up side since then. I gained confidence, started going to the gym, lost all excess weight, put my grades to the top and got better with many things, be it the band or women. I believe that the drug opened a new dimension in my frame of mind and 'set me free' a little bit.

Yet, I'd also have to tell you that the strength of marijuana is only felt after several months of heavy use. These months would be where you'd feel all the ill effects of the drug : paranoia, racing heart and whatsoever. After this phase is the bliss, where the drug allows you to do whatever you wish with newfound confidence and strong belief. It ceases to be a drug from then on. Mind you, it takes great control to balance the strength of the drug and the weight of your actions - too many people waste away to the drug without ever realizing it's potential.

I usually smoke a joint before going in-field because I find it gives me more humor, a better spectra of words, and it lightens things up. I don't go shouting to the world that I'm high, and I never reek of it, I prefer the drug to stay within me and 'do its thing'. Between my face and my target's boobs, only I know that I'm high.

I'm somewhat passionate about this issue not because I'm an 'addict' (which I am not), but because the drug actually has an amazing potential. You have to get over the 'Cheech and Chong' and 'Harold and Kumar' depictions of so called 'stoners'. I know there are people like that, who live that way : but they need to get the fuck off their couch and do something if they don't like their lives.

However, only you decide what affects your self-esteem. If you choose to remain a wuss, then no drug will rid you of that, and no drug would make you one. Drugs also interact with different people in different ways. I absolutely love marijuana but I have a few friends who've had some difficult experiences with the drug, be it anxiety or panic attacks. At the end of the day, we can't generalize the situation.

All said and done, simply stop smoking if you think it's fucking you up and notice if your personality changes after quitting. If you feel you like life without weed better, then live it; otherwise you can always go back and start smoking again!

My personal POV is that as long as you are an adult who pays his taxes you can do whatever the hell you want to do. If you think it helps your inner game and you are in good shape, go for it.

As far as hard drugs go...I, personally, would avoid them. Just for the risk of addiction. What you are describing above is, in fact, marijuana addiction, which I'm sure can be pleasant and relatively harmless. If you have an addictive personality then I would advise you to avoid hard drugs.

Mmmm, drug talk :)

First of all, I am 100% sure addicted to weed... used to smoke when i woke up and had nothing to do that day untill i needed to go to sleep (+- 10 joints a day) this really would affect my self esteem at that period, was getting depressed, obviously not going out since i was smoking weed all the time :)

now, i have several dates in a week and i still smoke daily, but i try to limit it to 1 or 2 joints before i go to bed, and i found out this wouldn't really affect my inner game (only makes me tired a bit when i wake up :))

So if you don't arrange ur whole day to smoking, and you arrnage ur whole day to picking up, you shouldn't feel too much trouble of it.

Altough, smoking and then go sarging? doesn't work for me, i lose confidence and get clumsy when i'm stoned, when i'm sober seems like i get a confidence boost....

For harder drugs, i used about anything that's available on the belgian market

i recommend you don't try those! since they are 1) highly addictive (got many friends who can't stay of it, i'm one of the few lucky who start, that have no problems stopping, doesn't count for weed haha) 2) all the SHIT that you get involved in is really not worth it at all :D

a side note tough: mdma was originally made to get shy, and autistic people be social, so this one works to get over anxiety's. Still it's pretty fake, cuase it's not the real you doing that, it's the drugged you that loses every social fear, and the next day you will feel this! :)
