We want to be more in the present but we just dont know how. Well meditation is the answer. Meditation helps you calm down your mind, master your emotions, and with the result of those two you become more active in the present moment.
Heres an insight as to why negative emotions arise I had gotten from Eckhart Tolle. Negative emotions arise because your thougths are what create the emotions. If we have positive thoughts well have positive emotions. If we have negative thougths well have negative emotions. Emotion is your reaction to your mind. So how do we go about this? Well the first thing you can do is find a quiet place anywhere and just relax. Practice taking in slow deep breaths. Feel your breath inside you.
Now im going to reveal to you the first meditation exercise you can do to quite your mind. Ready? Lets get it poppin. Ok, so when your doing deep breathing at the top of the inhale hold your breath and just listen to the silence. Hold it for as long as you need too. Dont hold it too long though. Dont want you dying from meditation. Then as you exhale at the bottom of the exhale when you feel you cant exhale any more hold your breath and observe the silence. Do this for 10 minutes.
Now, for the second exercise. Just feel your emotions that your feeling without any judgement. If the emotions are negative or positive it doesnt matter. As a matter of fact whenever your feeling a negative emotion the best way to make it diossolve is just feeling it without any judgement. Same goes for positive emotions but the catch for the positive emotions is that the more you feel your positive emotions the more youll experience them! So the negative dissolves & the positive increases. Do this for 10 minutes.
Now for the third exercise. Listen to your thoughts. Any thought that pops up dont judge or condemn it. Observe it without judgement as the silent watcher. Remember whatever we bring into conscious awareness and dont judge dissolves. Also, throughout the day whether your at school or working just listen to the thoughts that are popping up to get a better idea of the thoughts your mind is creating. Do this for 10 minutes.
Now, for the fourth and final exercise. Just be consciously present of the present moment. Listen to the birds, listen to the wind, listen to the people. Listen to anything thats going on RIGHT NOW. Do this for 10 minutes also.
Do these meditation practices for 2 weeks everyday and you will see a big difference in the way you feel and your sense of inner peace will deepen.
Now is the only moment we have. Nothing happened in the past it happened in the now. Nothings gonna happen in the future it will happen in the now. Remember, you are not your mind. You and your mind are two completeley different entities. Your MIND wants one thing and YOU want the exact opposite.
Alright, enough writing time to get to the meditations! _________________ Cut the shit, time to fuck.
