I feel like my game is progressing, but I’m being held back by my last relationship. I was deeply in love with my girlfriend of 3.5 years when I broke up with her, because I felt that I needed to date more before being ready for a lifelong relationship.

This was six months ago, and I still don’t feel free to date. I have tried a number of things, and am currently trying Tapping (from Tapping dot com), which seems to be helping slowly, but I still find it exceedingly difficult to be attracted to other girls, and (since my girlfriend) need this connection to actually have a desire to have sex with them.

I wish that it was as simple as “getting over it”, or realizing that there are other girls out there. I’ve accepted that she’s simply one of many amazing women in the world, but can’t free myself to meet them. Does anyone with a similar experience have suggestions for moving on?

In relationship for 3.5 years. Man, that's long. I've never been with one girl for such time, but I have experienced a oneitis situation. And, yeah, it really sucks. For me, the world around was just grey, and I had no will to do anything.
