I was planning on getting a tattoo on my wrist of an ambigram (specifically the fire ambigram from Angels and Demons). I had shared this thought with some friends and have gotten the "seems a little gay" response. What are your thoughts.

Sometimes I put on temporary tattoos on my wrist, it's a pretty sweet place to put it, because it stands out and is easily visible.

All my tattoos have some personal meaning behind them and are special to me, make sure you pick something you know you'll still love in 10-20 years time. I do have an ambigram of my name on my inner arm though and it's very well done. It usually gets a reaction along the lines of "that's cool as fuck" along with careful study and turning it upside down. Kino, baby!
It gets a lot of "is that incase you forget your name when you're drunk?" aswell, something I've learned to counter with interesting answers - I'll leave those to your imagination though. ;)

I agree with Dalziel. Make sure it's something you really want because you're gonna have to live with for the rest of your life (unless you get lazer tattoo removal in the future).

I plan on getting one this year on my upper back. I've carried around an unused temporary tattoo since middle school and said that would be the one I get if I ever got a tattoo. Needless to say that's been about 11 years ago. It's of a heart made of thorns. I also plan on adding wings for my baby that passed away last year and my two sons names in Chinese above each wing.

Just make sure you do some major thinking about it. You don't want to regret it in the future!!!

Excuse me, Fiction, but what's gay about getting a tattoo?
AND who were you referring to as gay?

I imagine he was referring to the original poster.

I imagine he was referring to the original poster.
But still . . . why gay? Do people call your tattoo(s) gay?

It would make a great tattoo.

But,

the wrist is an extremly visable area. One that you will have to think about being visable in potential places you may not want.

I have a forearm tattoo, I think in general tattoos are good cause girls like to touch you to look at them.
