First of all skaters are the new rock stars…. they are” the cool” the just are.

They’re cool, get loads of cash from sponsors, everyone wants to be like them, and the list goes on. There are alot of great skaters out there: Jereme Rogers, Terry Kennedy, Paul Rodriguez, Stevie Williams, Ryan Sheckler, etc etc.

I think it goes without saying that the typical skater style is… the stereotypical hip-hop style. I say stereotypical because these days most categorical “hip-hop” artist dress preppy or ” or they just do their own thing- which could mean wearing suits or dressing like a nerd. The baggy jeans, graphic tees, fitted hat, and bling bling

can truly only be seen in movies or tv shows, on certain rappers, and on skaters.

To achieve this look one has to have baggy jeans, a fitted hat, a cool tee and a some bling and an attitude

This look has a certain feel to it, in order to pull it off you have to be into that

culture dont try to dress the part if you are not into it Overall, to get their looks it doesn’t take too much:

graphic tee + baggy jeans + fitted hat +cool shoes + iced out necklace = The Pro Skater Look

you're missing the skateboard itself

And you have to be careful, there is an age limit on the skater look. I personally believe people >25 yrs old are too old to have that look. In addition some people consider skaters to be extreme douchebags. In my personal opinion if you're trying to game high school girls and freshman/sophomore college students, the skater look works. For anyone older, i suggest dressing differently.

Agreed, as you get older, you want to stay away from baggy clothes and go for something more form fitting because baggy clothes tend to make you look young. Personally, I wear graphic tees, jeans, and sometimes a button up here and there but as soon as I start wearing baggier clothes people mistake me for 18 (and I'm 21).

Yeah skaters get laid, but not because of how they dress, but because they DO get paid and live a sexy lifestyle; and that's because of how they ride. Trust me, I'm a hardcore snowboarder, and even the chicks that dig skaters will call you a poser. Shaun White, without some mad gibber skills would just be a another 20 something spicolly lookin guy that is in need of a haircut. But he's got mad skills.

people dress like rockers cause thats there thing, people dress like rappers cause that their thing, so if you like skating rather you are good at it or get paid for it doesnt matter, if you love it you look the part simple math

Thats really true, but i have to disagree about the hip hop part or the rock part.
I ve been skating for almost six years and the reason i think women like skaters it's because it shows that you have a lot of friends, that you like to take risks, and almost all skaters are fun to be with. When i was an AFC, it's the first time i admit this xD but i think i got some HB's i got because i skated.

But in my opinion you might get HB's from skating when you show that you are good at what you do, you dont need to have sponsors because i did get HB's before i got any sponsors, but just be confortable skating.

It's not just skate its almost all extreme sports. And the style depends on the person not the sport.
