Howdy from a mad rookie. Ive got game-well AFC game (do better than my friends). But i really wanna step it up a notch. or several thousand.
I currently feel like i need to reinvent myself in order to do this, become more sociable and generally liked. First place i thought i would start is my image. gotta build that avatar right?

Below are some images of myself currently. I'm looking for ANYTHING that you honestly believe ill improve me.

What i NEED:
1) Peacocking: not sure if i want to do it or not. as far as lets say mystery goes. I'm game for say outlandish jewelry to just attract comments, not not really a huge hat or massive pink and gold clock around my neck.

2) General Fashion Advice: wear stuff like *this*. any tips are great. Try dark clothing, this brand, *link to specific style of clothing* would be awesome.

3) Anything else you got. seriously, demolish my appearance. pick it apart. do NOT hold back. I'm a grown man who wants to change. Constructive is all i ask.

P.S. the pictures are in order of time, last listed being most recent.
P.P.S. In return im happy to help in whatever way i can. Just ask! :-D

loose a few buttons on the shirt imo. I dont really like that devils peak thing with the hair. Maybe cut hair a lil shorter, and untuck your shirt. Just look a lil more "wild.fun".

But in the first pic i think you look better bro. The last pics looks like you came straight out of Macys department store lol. Maybe thin out your beard, or gotee.

I rock a gotee too, sometimes when i see pics of it i think to myself "dam why do i have it like that? its too bushy i need to cut it".

Thanks guys!
And yea I like my look in the dirt one the best, the next two was me getting out of work. I agree, shirt seems to big.

The thinning is a good idea. I'll def try tht out and see where were at.

For the hair, shorter eh? I can do that. I usedto wear it really long and shaggy-I'll post up with that when I get home.

Again, thank guys-keep em coming!

Okay here's what I think

1. your shirt is way too big. Buy clothes that actually fit you well. People have to see the shape of your body clearly. Go to the gym and work out so you get a nice 'V'-shaped body.

2. shave! Shave the beard and the hair around your mouth, girls do not like facial hair.

3. I think your hair is a tad too short. Let it grow a bit longer and style it.

4. buy pairs of DARK jeans. These look good and are appropriate for every scenario. I'm not too fond of the beige pants.

5. The belt is good, but buy a bigger one. A broad dark leather belt is great. Always wear a belt with a jeans/pants, always.

6. Lose the shades.

7. Also i recommend you to buy a few blazers and white shirts. They always look classy and distinguished.

8. Lastly find colours that suit you. I think black looks good on you, that's a start

Good luck mate.

Now THAT is a reply!
Thank you. Very legit help.

What I'm hearing so far:
1) longer and shorter hair.
I've heard (In life) more requests for my longer hair. I'm just unsure of shat to do with it. Style it like a bed head type deal or a more exact look? If someone wants to sugjest a img I can see an example that would help enormiously. I think my big problem is that I do not know what's possible with my hair-never really thought about it before.

2) that shirt in the last two pics (was taken the same day) is too big. Got it. Will be rectified.

3) blazer white shirt dark pants. Sounds good. I think it will fall into my personality too.
My worry is that I'm going to need 3 or so differnt "styles" to choose from, as I do. Want to wear the same outfit (not the clothing but the type) every day/night.
Also, if anyone wants to hit up some more day-oriented outits that would be sweet. This is seconday as I live on college campus and can get away with a lot and still be classier than most there.

4) bigger belt.
I always have a belt on when I can find it (tends to go thought a washer every two months or so....)
do you mean longer? Or thicker?

As far as peacocking is concerned:
was thinking oF gauging my left ear. Go with a 8 guage arylic marble talon. Possibly 6?
Thoughts/opinions?

There is a portion in the Esquire handbook of style that says something like 'there is a 100% chance the guy in your office who wears short-sleeved collared shirts has been called a putz within the last week.'

Food for thought.

Well, as has already been noted, you need to go a size or two down. Your dress shirts should create a trim silhouette, meaning they need to sort of hug your figure. The sleeves should be long enough to reach the area where your thumb connects to your hand and should always be about 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch longer than the sleeves of your blazer.

Also, solid-color shirts are kind of boring. I don't know if your whole wardrobe is like this but if it is you need some variety.

A tailor can help you this all of this stuff but the main thing is that when you're fully dressed you should look like you have broad shoulders and a narrow waist, even if you don't.

Also, I feel it necessary to point out that a stylish, high-quality pair of shoes is the most important facet of dressing well. You don't show what kind of shoes you're wearing so I can't critique them, but know that while they don't mean dick to us guys, women gauge your entire sense of style based on what's covering your feet.

Your boy,
870

With gauging do you mean piercing? As in actually getting an earring? If that's what you mean, then please in respect to masculinity world wide, do not do it. Earring and piercings are for girls. You can pea-cock in an another way.

And by bigger I mean a broader/thicker belt.

Also yes grow your hair and then add wax to it so you can reach this: (just and example)

Sorry for the late reply-yes and no to the earring.
I said gauge and I ment gauge. A size 6 or 8 gauge is not going to look like an earring, I'm thinking about getting a talon-IMO it doesn't look like an earring and won't look like a giant hole in my ear either.

Image

something along those lines.

I plan to go downth the tailors this weekend, see what I can find for threads.
I'll post up my 'newer' look when I think I've changed enough to need more opinions.

Feel free to keep suggesting in the mean time! Th advise goes to heart and is appreciated.

Regulate the facial hair. If its longer than your longest fingernail (assuming you clip once in a while), its probably too long. Facial hair is not a bad thing, it just has to be done right. Excessive scruff doesn't work unless you're in the boondocks somewhere or you're over the age of 30. Some people don't look as good clean shaven, I understand that, just find the right balance. Look at some GQ guys who have a little facial hair.

I'm going to ignore the last 2 pictures because I doubt you dress like that normally... If you do, stop. You're trying to pick up chicks, not fix someone's computer.

Your look in the 1st picture isn't bad, you just don't stand out at all. My advice, find a nice bracelet or watch, and trade out that work belt for something more flashy. Not a belt buckle... The whole belt. I had your look in the first picture, with a nice black watch and a studded belt, slightly brighter/grayer denim, plus the longsleeve was solid cashmere. Solid colors aren't always bad, they just have to fit right and coordinate with your peacock shit. Also try rolling the sleeves up once in a while in the middle of whatever you're doing.

Other than that, I agree with getting shirts that fit slenderly. Remember, your look doesn't make you, it helps you get noticed. You have to feel congruent with your look, otherwise you're just some guy who kind of dresses nice in order to compensate for something...

Nail on the head with the last two outfits. *I'm a computer scientist*
they were included to show my face mostly, not a clubing outfit by any means.

I usually dress the first photo.
That shirt has a decal on the front. Deep red Celtic cross. She has her hand over it.
