IN my opinion peacocking is a bullshit, seriously.
Much more better is to work on your own style and not try to be a peacock. It's trying to hard

In my opinion, peacocking is Mysterys way of telling us that we should not be afraid to have our own style. His style happens to be dark and extreme but whatever floats your boat...
