For me, it's either sunglasses (I have tons of pairs - see "which sunglasses should I get" thread) or big headphones which always gets questions like "let me see your ipod/what music do you like/ ect.

How about the rest of you?

Wasn't there a thread for this? Use the search next time (top of the screen, next to FAQ noob!) before posting a new thread, helps keep the giant mess here down.

My favorite peacocking item is my Feminist shirt (do a search on that) and my hair. But you'll probably recognize me more by the black cowboy hat I wear almost all the time, I am mostly frequently identified by it so I guess it is most successful in the long run.

my shoes...it a white etnies with 2 thick laces on each shoe. One is black one is white.

I've been rocking this style for a LONG time now and I now I see shoes in Journeys with the same style of lacing as mine except its regular laces. Kinda lame.

My Ed Hardy cap with too many rhinestones on it. It's literally hurts when you look at my cap, it's just too shiny! But girls dig it, I always get comments on it and it's an easy conversation starter for them too :)

my black/orange/red/brown hair.
My necklace w/ ring
My rings on my finger
My Elvis glasses

My Mystery(skateboards) shirt.

All of which I have a congruent DHV story behind that I can relate to any other story and or opener I may use.

The Mystery shirt is an instant shit test magnet, which is both a pos and a negative. Pos in that it lets you know if they've seen the show, then I switch up a bit in methology. Neg in that it will enduce shit tests. Good thing I got some good combacks to pass the shit tests thus DHV and breaking target's shield down instantly.

- My nice burgundy w/ gold pinstripes dress shirt.
- My brown plaid fedory.
- My colour changing LED juggling balls.

And the first piece of peacock wear that I currently own, bought about 5 months before I even knew about peacocking:

- My rainbow knit rainbow tuque

My only problem with the tuque (which I REALLY love and has an AMAZING DHV story behind it that gets people so drawn in and by the end of it the whole group is clapping me on the back and cheering) is that I don't really have any shirts that it works with. Does anyone have any ideas for a knit rainbow striped tuque? Its hippyish looking, but if put with good clothes, can look stylish.

My favorites...

My bandanas, my favorite being the one that resembles the Arizona State Flag. It's so colorful and really sticks out. I've got a VERY loud yellow t-shirt that matches perfectly too.

My rings, great stories behind them...I actually left them at an HB's house recently :? but she's bringing them to me next weekend when she comes over to cook for me.

My sunglasses as well. I have a great red pair that matches my AZ bandana, and my silver aviators have an awesome story behind them as well as opportunities to neg(theyre reflective).

My ties.

My leather jacket. Not too many people wear them around here, and I look great in it (total badass  ).

I don't have a ton of peacocking gear yet, because money is a factor...but more importantly I require each special item has at least one great story behind it!

Straw cowboy hat (well worn)

Bright Pink Tie

Straw Fedora with diffrent custom made accents (I use shoelaces that I made into loops that fit around the hat... I have several diffrent colors I can use depending on my outfit)

Cloth Rainbow D-loop belt

Neon green belt with silver studs

Pink Aviators

White shoes with one laced white, and one laced black

Thats about the only items I can think of that are dedicated to peacocking, that I have... (besides sport coats, shirts, etc...)

Haha. Last night was a HS football game, and I wanted to find a few good peacocking items around the house. What I ended up finding was a pair of my sister's white stunna shades, a comfy black hat that said NARC on it (from a movie) and my favorite: this really tacky looking medallion that I got in 5th grade for participating in recreational basketball.

Believe it or not, I got some really good responses -- girls were constantly trying to steal my shades (wow, is she always like this? where's the off switch? didn't mommy teach her manners? etc.) and grabbing the stupid medallion (hey, hands off babe -- that shit is authentic).

Ended up with three numbers that night ;) I think what helped me succeed was even though I was wearing this stupid medallion, which didn't go with my outfit at all, it seemed like I didn't even care -- that I knew I was cool, and I didn't give a shit what they thought. ;) (I even threw in a couple "Hey, I know I look good -- you don't have to tell me, baby ;)" in there.)

Nicely done Blues. I'm thinking I should really invest in a medalion. Even if I found something neat looking made out of plastic for $2, that would be awesome, just as long as it was eyecatching.

I bought some cheap Kanye-West-ish shades with a purple tint to them.
2 Silver Skull rings and 1 metal band ring.
Velvet pinstripe sportsjacket (gotta re-sew a button :x )

I too am looking for a medallion. Not something without meaning though. I'm looking for some indigenous symbol that has some sort of symbolic essence about karma or the afterlife. Something to make the girls say "OoooOOOOOooh"
