I'm brand new to the community but as I have been focused so far on getting girls attention I have noticed something.

Whenever I go out with a more laid back, casual hair style...Something very plain average and perhaps business like, I tend to get a lot better reaction then when my hair is styled.

My theory thus far is that girls think you are not targeting them as hard when you appear more average and are coincidentally more relaxed and willing to play along.

Thoughts?

I asked one of my friends (a girl just in case you had any doubts) who is really into fashion and "the newest craze". She thinks that guys with their hair either short or medium length look best and guys with long hair only look good if it matches their style and facial features.

But she says in general, "it depends on how the guy looks."

You can have any hair style it only matters how you feel , if you find comfortable being with long hair , and you think you look good , go a head...

If your too much into this you can go to hotornot.com upload the same picture(Dont change anything in the picture , stand still and take the same photo but with different looks.) but with different hair styles and look wich one get the best rank.

For hair... i like to stand out... somewhat... I have shorter hair.... it is dyed dark brown... from the light brown that it naturally is. There are also two blond ... blothches that are imbedded. Go to Myspace and search for .... http://www.myspace.com/themeaningofjesse. You might be able to make out my hair... but like 90% of girls like it.

I agree with all this and for me it's a big issue because my hair doubles for me as a permanent peacocking technique. I have long brown hair but with a lot of blonde highlights and i wear it a bit messy or with elaborate pony tails. The main thing is I like it and I feel comfortable with it. Find what you like and roll with it.

I have a very rediculous and unique hair style. its hard to acuratly describe it but its a mohawk with sideburns that wrap around behind my ears. It doesnt look bad, just goofy.

Ive developed a routine with it and I tell people that Im rom the future (i have shoes that accompany this routine too) and I tell them what the future is like.

Yeah maybe styling can give you the appearance of trying to hard, where having just regular hair, you are confident in your appearance enough to be yourself.

I find that hair matters.. Had long hair just a while ago, and now that I've cut it short and look a little bit more cleaned up I get much better responses.. Plus that all of my girl friends say I look more well kept and over all more physically in shape..
If not anything else, long hair makes you look shorter for some reason :P

I shave my head bald and I would say I have at least 5x more woman checking me out. I dont know why this is but I just go with it. Even if I go a 4 days or so without trimming it ive noticed woman dont like it as much. For whatever reason lots of woman like bald heads but I guess you need to find what looks good on you. They also notice being clean shaven and that also makes a big difference.

I'm going to share something that really worked for me. I started looking for a good hair-dresser, someone that modern and know what's in and not and all that. When I found her and heard all the good recommendations I booked a time for cut + colour. When I walked in and she asked how I wanted it i said:

"Hey, you're the one that knows this. Just improve my look the way YOU want it."

I ended up with a long dark stylish hair-cut with a white thin white bang.. It was really cool and she has cut my hair for 4-5 years now. I've never been dissapointed and it has always come out supercool..

Some say the don't dare. But c'mon. What's the worst that can happened? Remember, if you don't like it: Style is bald ;D
