I'm thinking about piercing my ears, however i don't want people to think I'm a poser. Any suggestions would be helpful.

haha. you dont get body jewlery or art if your not a poser, but no one thinks of it in that way. As long as you dont go flicking your head about and brushing your hair back every 5 secs its cool.
the way i decided about my piercing was thinking about what the sort of girl i wanted would like. In fact i didnt even think about it i used one of ross jefferies techniques of visualising your dream woman and my style came to me... but its the same end to the means. Just think if your going for alt girls, tunnels and cartilage hoops work, black ones too ;). If its your more run of the mill hb a diamond stud wouldnt go amiss, but be prepared to back it up with other flashy items, clothes and place because otherwise you could end up with the complete opposite look to the one you want.
I would urge you to do this, but be very thoughtful of it in respect to who you wish to attract.

I have my ears pierced but it doesn't really matter. You could just take them out and it wouldn't be noticeable and they'd heal after a few weeks. Overall though, earrings won't make or break your game. No piercings will do that for you.

True enough, they add nothing to your game and dont take away. However, they add to a self image and can help you mold yourself into the sort of person the girl youre after wants. You've just got to be sure its the kind of attention you're looking for, you dont want rock chicks walking up to you if your into leggy blondes!

They can add to a rich character though, especially if you are a polymath into a whole bunch of shit. Remember, PERSPECTIVE is very important.

As mentioned previously you can end up giving the wrong impression by getting an ear piercing (gay). If you're a young guy looking to be trendy then go for something like an eyebrow piercing. If you can pull off the type of confidence someone with an ear piercing (or any other piercing) has then go for it but otherwise you should probably stay not pierced.
