Hey, Got a question for you guys (*girls may answer too;))
If your standing (and sitting) should you be asymmetrical or should you be symmetrical. (or it doesn't matter as long as you take up space)

Cuz i've watched some body language vids where they say: Stand wide and take up space.

And ive seen a vid where's been said: don't be symmetrical cuz you look ready for action and that's not confident (put ALL your weight on one leg, by converting the wide stand into a sort of L form with your feet, [your feet are still apart ofcourse])

I"d say asymetrical personally because it looks more relaxed in most circumstances. The point is just stand at a relaxed position and whenever possible be more relaxed than anyone else in the set. Whether that's seated or leaning against something. :)

Asymmetrical for sure, but not crunched up or weak. Your head should be erect and confident. Also best if you're leaning slightly toward the action instead of away from it. And definitely take up as much space as possible. :-)

Guys who stand or sit stick-straight look anxious and stiff, like they're trying too hard.

In general I agree with the consensus on asymmetry here, but remember, the point is not the rule but how you apply it. You don't just stay relaxed forever. You fluctuate between states depending on which is beneficial to you at the time. Look at this video of me #-closing a two-set during daygame (you can't hear the sound that well but I want you to see the body language):

When I'm sitting down, most of the time I'm laid back and relaxed, taking up space. But I do lean in at crucial points for specific reasons. It's all about being versatile and timing. Use the right body language at the right times.

Yo, I'm very tall 6'5" and standing in that L shape is making me EVEN taller, doesn't that scare girls off??

@ratief... at what crucial points and specific reasons do you NOT lean in cuz I can't figure them out:P (I can't really hear what youre saying)

thanks though;)
