Dilemma isn't the perfect term to use here, but I decided I really like the word, especially because it sounds like 'Dalih Lama', which in turn sounds like 'Llama', which is the second coolest animal after the sloth.

Anyway, now that I have explained the background, I spent many months intensely studying body languages and buying and reading all the books on amazon about it a few years ago. Hence I thought I knew most of what is to be known. However recently whilst refreshing my knowledge in a psychology book, an experiment showed (results were valid and reliable) that people who lie often display their palms up and twist them, as if to show signs of helplessness of the fact that they are lying.

However I was under the impression (along with the generally accepted norm) that showing the palms = honesty. I think three years ago I even noticed myself doing this whilst saying the truth to my mum (I did catch myself, but then I knew about non-verbal communication then...).

What do you think? I'm being pedantic here, but it's important to me.
