I personally like the preppy-ish look, but to each his own. Just find a style(s) that suits you.

Yup, find your style. Would it suite you to be gansta? Doubt it. I would just avoid blatant brand names.

Shrugging off their attacks for being gay will raise your value. Keep smiling and remain unphased. Personally, I love polos as long as they fit. Wearing a shirt that resemble a window curtain over your mid-section never looks good.

I personally think they are boring. You want to separate yourself from the crowd a bit. With polo's, you might as well be wearing camo in the jungle.

Both sides of the coin

Polo's scream college frat boy, soft, had an easy life, no edge, more concerned with fitting in with other guys than being an alpha.

Now the flip side...

The times I have pulled it off are when I'm in otherwise trasher mode. Messy hair, torn jeans, smoking and drinking more than usual. It plays into the disaffected rich boy archetype that we've seen in plenty of movies.

Use it only to go contrary to an otherwise edgy persona is my advice.

I find that your personality should reflect your dress. If your a up scale classy individual who embrace chivalristic ideas polos are for you. Ralph Lauren's polo's often compliment strong upper bodies and with out a doubt look good. no matter where you are or what occasion you'll look good in a polo, however it is a common style and does not really stand out.

ok polos are just uncomfortable. usually heavier and stuffier than sharp button ups and less fun and comfortable (significantly) than Ts.

Like iv said, look at buckle, they have alot of fun comfortable Ts that fit good on u if u are either skinny, average, in shape, or muscular

polos work better for boxier builds. iv seen some sharp polos, i own a couple ;)

i dont think they are taboo or any bullshit like that but i wouldnt wear them all the time

I take it you don't own any designer polos then?

My best fitting shirts happen to be polos. I have a bunch of medium polo shirts that fit almost perfect. On the other hand, my medium t-shirts fit terrible. I don't quite know why that is.

Hey, after slightly bagging on the collared shirt look. I then went with my old faithful collared method in Hollywood last night and I fared quite succesfully. I'm now pro-collar.
