What do you guys think about what is the perfect weight/size? I know girls vary in this regard but what do you think is a good size, i'm about average, 6' 205, 10% bodyfat, but i don't know i don't want to get to where I look intimidating. Also do we have any personal trainers on here that could answer a few quick questions?

Are you sure. Most Americans are overweight, around 30% body fat for men. People really have screwed up views of their physical image. You're ahead of the game there pal.

You have the body type I'm going to achieve this year, I'm 6' 185 12% body fat so it should be no problem.

What you have is ideal.

Alwyn Cosgrove has an excellent book out called "The New Rules of Lifting", it has over 9 programs; I've really enjoyed it so far.

For Shoulders:
Seated overhead Dumbbell press 3x10-12 reps
Dumbbell Lateral Raises 3-4 setsx10-12 reps
Seated Bentover Lateral Raises 3x10-12
Upright Row 3x10-12

For Biceps
Dumbbell Curls 3x10
Barbell curls 3x10
Incline Dumbbell Curls 3x10

I'm not sure how you workout, but this is an example of doing single bodyparts for a workout.Allso, doing triceps workout will make your arms bigger and more define.Make sure that you're using proper form.Just swinging a weight around will do you no good if you're not activating your muscle fibers while doing it.Do the exercises in a slow, controlled manner.I'm not sure how much bodyfat you have, but if you keep it around 10%(less is better)you will be able to see your muscles a lot more as opposed to if you're at 15% or more.I can also give you diet advice if you need that.I would need to know your bodyfat and weight.

seriously man... don't get body dismorphia... psychological disorder when you're obsessed with muscle mass and the look of your body

don't get me wrong... its nice to be in shape-- whatever you do... NEVER brag about lifting or what you did in the gym today to girls-- its a complete turnoff and uninteresting... i should know, i have two friends who have body dismorphia

I'm kind of obsessed with my body, too.I know my shit when it comes to bodybuilding, and I agree that you shouldn't brag about what you do in the gym.Girls at my school compliment me all the time on my body,as do the guys on my football and wrstling team.Once I get my game down,it's on!

I don't brag about lifting, i'm just asking for some advice. I know what you mean though, those people in the gym get on my nerves, the one guy in there, he just started and he'll go to you "hey, you see what i lifted on that last set, i did the xx lbs" gets on my nerves but cracks me up too.

Don't obsess over the way your body looks. Just make sure your outside appearance isn't offensive and you have plenty of confidence in yourself. That confidence will carry you more than the size of your body!
