I did a Slideshow, you can't skip the pictures I think and it are quite a few. Watch the whole show or don't, just give me your opinion on the part you watch. I have sort of a skater style. Is this too sloppy? Should I go for chemises (shirts?) and stuff?

Here's the link.

Hello Level,
I watched the entire slideshow of you posing in your wardrobe..LOL

I would have to say that if your style is the skater style, then youre on the right track. I know there are sk8er girls out there. In my opinion, you looked chic in the pinstripe chemise. The last pic of you wearing the black jacket was very stylish.
Do you wear rock band t-shirts alot? Do you wear maybe, wrist bands with like maybe spikes or the punk looking wrist bands or maybe black nail polish, or rings for peacocking items to go with your "image"?

I don't wear any peacocking items yet and never wore anything with spikes. Hm, my image... I listen all kinds of music but mostly rock. So I will dress up and be like mystery in the end. ;) I don't want skatergirls :D I love educated, well groomed girls.

You don't want to dress up like mystery. Be yourself, not him.

The reason I posted my style is: I always thought my style would be cool. But does a style have to be primarily cool? Or does it have to be cool and elegant. I don't have such an evil personality to dress up like an evil gangster :) But I always wore hoodies and skater stuff. It looked cool to me and one can keep them for ever because they never wear out.

But then I found this thread
my-style-vt12679.html
and also this one
my-style-vt10781.html

and I always considered shirt under T-Shirt as a poor style (this is no offense, to L.A. or saq!) but now I see two successful PUA's having this look. Especially L.A.'s style seems for one ordinary to me and for a second poor. Can you explain to me and my AFCness what about their style is better than about mine?

Thanks, Level

yeah man, you've defiantly got the skater style going on well, and that leather jacket looks beast. only thing is, a couple of your shirts just look kinda plain and average. that spitfire shirt defiantly helps the skate look, also i recommend you wearing the enjoi shirt, possibly a conversation starter? haha, hope that helps somewhat mate

The black t-shirt with the gold pattern was good, the jacket was also good, and the shirt.

You need to understand the subject of layers. Different layers build up your outfit, and usually look better than a single item imo.

For example, under a shirt i wear a vest. They're mostly white so they blend with my shirts, but i have black, grey and yellow ones also. I mix and match to suit the shit i'll be wearing. When wearing a jacket, i prefer a long sleeved shirt underneath, as the collar stands out, and the sleeves, and it sends a cooler image than having just a tee underneatch.

Find unusual fits or cuts of clothing. I have a Grandad top ( a shirt with a small collar pointing straight up), which looks fantastic. I also prefer slim fit items, so they hug my frame and demonstrate my body shape. Not skintight, just fitting. Baggy items of clothing make you look dumpy.

Accessorise. Noticed you have a rather plain looking watch. Buy wrist beads, unusual watchs, necklaces. Try to match colours with corresponding pieces of clothing. White belt = white shoes for example. I do this anyway, and never considered it as peacocking until i realised i was naturally peacocking.

I f-closed a Polish HB9, who asked if i was Catholic due to me wearing my black Rosary Beads (I'm not religious). I told her no, but as Poland is a very Catholic country, it got her attention. Seeing her blow off so many guys after i'd gotten her entranced was quite fantastic.

If you want i can post some pictures of myself wearing clothes and certain styles i've mentioned, and some from before i had my fashion epiphany as reference. :P

Yeah, feel free to post pics of your style :) I'd be interested in more general rules like white belt = white shoes.

Level, your sytle is not bad, but it lacks character and coordination. Your pants dont really fit and it seems you only wear short sleeve t-shirts. Try and take a girl shopping with you, to help you coordinate your colors and help you choose pants that fit, maybe throw in a non-t-shirt here and there, and some pants other then jeans. Try a couple "loud" button shirts, any attention is better then none!

You may also want to accessorize a bit. That guys rosary tip is cool, I borrowed a rosary once, it really gets results haha! Get some slick hats or something interesting, a bracelet, anything. Cowboy boots are fun!

I just saw your comment about your style being cool. Now, this isnt a put down...but your style is average, every kid at school wears tshirts and jeans with logos on them, hoodies, slightly unfitting jeans. Its not cool, its average. Just take what all those skater dudes are doing and try and stand out, you dont have to change everything you do, just make it (keyword) unique and (keyword) interesting.

I could ramble forever, good luck!

Ok, I guess that helped me! I'm gonna find some accessoires for me. Although I don't want them to cost over 50 Dollars in case in 2 weeks I don't like them anymore. But chances that I like more expensive assecoires still in 2 weeks are higher... Difficult difficult...

do not have to be expensive my friend! They just have to be unique and fit YOUR STYLE. It...is...really hard to explain, but try to find something that you feel good wearing, somethign you can talk about if a girl brings it up. dont paint your nails because mystery does, paint your nails because you like having your nails painted! Does that make sense? Females are excellent at reading body language naturally! I guess what I am gettin at is ...women can REALLY tell when you are trying to be "someone else" so you ahve to embody your "new style" you have feel it, you have to live it, you have to be confident it, you dont let a girl shit test you about your nails or your layers! seriously brother, if you trimmed your hair, and wore some slim-fit/modern fit shirts, and some pants that fit, and a rosary, you could be THE MAN.

Travel to whatever vintage shops you can. They sell REALLY COOL clothing for pretty cheap prices, A$%F is NOT the way to go. it is another way to be averagely good looking! I can see that you have a distinct sense of style, you just need to learn to coordinate, slightly. mathcing colors is very important. standing out is VERY IMPORTANT. your t-shirts could be cool if you wore some pants that fit and some jackets that matched! and remember to love your little sister!

Try going to whatever cities you are close to, to the vintage shops, that sell crazy cool clothes for cheap prices, buy some cool leather jackets, hats and shits, that all match, with some sort of off the wall shoes, but not crazy loud off the wall, just enough off the wall to make a girl notice that you are not wearing those DC skater shoes that 100 other guys are wearing-off-the-wall. Dock martins, cowboy boots, and flip flo

On the fotos I didn't try to match everything, I just wanted to show you guys what kind of shirts and trousers I have and I wanted to know whether they are cool or boring :) Hm, I don't think vintage is really my style, but I could give it a shot. Though I dunno whether there are any vintage shops in Switzerland :) I want my hair long again, so I won't trim them in the near future. But you give me good ideas and opinions, thank you!

This would be a little more dressed up:

and

I just don't feel confident enough to wear a blazer when I go out :(

Edit: I went shopping today, you were right, it doesn't have to be expensive. I bought 2 hats, each 10 dollars, 2 rings and 2 necklaces (one of them is really stupid :D) each item for five bugs and a shirt for fourty. This is the stuff: http://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... allqc1.jpg

Level, that shirt under that t-shirt really doesn't go well.

The blazer looks cool, but again, don't ruin it by wearing that shirt/t-shirt combo.

I think you should style your hair a bit better too. The close up ones at the end where your hair is falling down on to your forehead in the middle, I don't think you should let your hair go down like that. You should try dry waxing your hair and give it a bit more volume and more texture/layering.
