hey fellas,
i went out to a cowboy oriented club the other night on a slow night. i wore a nice pin stripped dress shit with red athletic pants and a toby keith like small cowboy hat. it seemed to work although the guys around the club didnt like me much because of the wardrobe.

my question is: does the athletic pants make me seem sloppy or lazy? Like i said, it seemed to work at the time but it may not work anywhere else. i'd like another kind of hat to keep the target in the convo and be able to wear it anywhere... any ideas???

I'm not a fashion consultant, and honestly I don't know how much advise I take from straight guys. Although, the best indication of how it looks is to get the opinion of female friends or of women in field. We're not there and can't see how it looks relative to your environment. The way you describe it I wouldn't personally do it, I agree it looks sloppy, and that's just not my personal style.
