So I have experimented with some types of peacocking. Some outfits gets you rejected by the bouncers (why do they hate hats?).
What I have discovered is that there are (at least) two kinds of peacocking, the ones that convey sexuality and the ones that are merely the coolest stuff ever created.
Let me explain!

Peacocking to attract HBs (PAH). I got some stuff that makes me look like a rockstar, this works fine with the girls since it conveys higher value and sexuality.

Peacocking to attract AMOGs (PAA). I got this kickass LED T-shirt moving and blinking like a neon sign. This makes AMOGs come up to tell me how cool and awsome that is.

This naturally gives me different options in the game. PAH makes me directly interact with HBs but I have to actively open them, if you sarge alone this gives you practice. This makes you look cool to girls and somehow flips the preselection switch (at least makes it easier for them to believe that I had an exotic dancer for GF).

PAA opens up sets all by itself. Guys introduce me to their HB pals, I get social proof by the fact that all AMOGs give me thumbs up or come up to compliment me. It is also great for pawning and merging sets. As Mystery would say: Lead the men and the women will follow.

Thats a couple of ideas there mate..
My personal style. I have a naturally intense red hair. Let me describe, in darker places, it looks like a sandy red - brown, but in the sun, it turns bright gold. That is an automatic peacock that people commonly compliment me on. Not to mention the amount of effort I go into grooming it every flaming day. It is the favorite attribute..

As with the clothes, I like to wear some fluro, either a shirt with nice jeans or purple shorts and a random shirt..

Hell, turns me into a god damn beacon. Works some days, not others. What it does do is conveys a sense of confidence. Do you know any other red head people Trying to be a beacon? That's my 2 cents right there

Aahh I love al the light up shirts and glow in the dark stuff its great at gigs when the lights go out and you just shining out lol

i had a pair of those kanye west shades in red, and almost everytime, girls come up to me and ask if they can wear them, and fuck no, hands off the merchandise

long-ish hair straight hair. not traight as in flat. but i straighted it and then go wild. its the crowd favorite.

also i have a hello kitty tattoo, which isnt so much peacocking, because they can't see it when im just walking around, but i usually have a wing bring it up with something like an opinion opener

Wing: [Before opening the set] no way, its not even that wierd, hold on lets ask these girls [pulls me over to the set] "girls.. what is the wierdest tattoo you've ever seen on a guy

HB's: yada yada yada

Wing: [looks at me] see. yours is nothing compared to that.

HB: oooh what do you have? (almost a compliancy test)

Wing: [Interrupts me] no. you cant just tell them, you have to show them.

Me: alright. fuck. if it'll get you to shut up.

[show them the hello kitty, which is about beltline, right above my ass, ha]

HB: OMG positive reaction positive reaction yadayada

Wing: well i've got to [insert excuse here] but you kids have fun

Me: alright [turn to HB's] so what are you girl's names?



ofcourse you're going to have to adapt it, unless somehow you have the tattoo, but its got the best success rate of any opener i've ever used.

i kinda digressed. maybe i'll stick this in the openers section

Cool, people actually keep this thread alive... Was out peacocking and clubbing last friday. Heavy peacocking, guys came up to me, hi-fived me, took pictures etc etc. Social proof immediately. Girls approached me, even a spanish girl came up to me, did not speak english and could not communicate but stayed around for at least 5 minutes while I was running another set...
