I am 6'5" 230 lbs athletic
26 years old

I currently dress in very baggy clothing. mostly all LRG brand 4xl
usually a tee shirt and jeans or basketball shorts.

i only wear skate shoes.
i have a like 4 pairs of jeans. no pants.

im ready to stop dressing like a thug and find an image that will allow me to meet more women. and look more like a grown up..

i have a few friends trying to help me.
i know i need to get more fitted clothing.. being so tall i always found it hard to find shirts that are long enough in to the torso and the arms. i can have things tailored. i don't wanna spend more then i have too

i look for inspiration on the internet but im so lost.

any tips for this tall AFC?

I dress smart casual 24/7, and phase shifting into a better dress sense has done me wonders. Will help forge your individuality too.

-Leave the teenage shoes to the teens. I ditched the Vans/skateshoes and it was a liberating feeling. I don't expect to be taken seriously as a man when I wear those.

-Avoid branded tees. The Nike swoosh may have been cool circa-2003, but it isn't what proper grown ups who want to be taken seriously don.

-Make sure your threads all fit. I wear slim jeans, as overly baggy is too Compton, while overly skinny is too sweet 16. A black pair, and a dark blue pair are all I wear nowadays, and it's all I need. I am 6'4 and find universal medium shirts to be a snug fit.

-Get yourself some boots. I wear sand coloured desert boots, and frequently get remarks over them. (When my fellow pals are wearing tired old Vans and Converse.) Clarks Sand Desert Boots are a good start.

-Shirts are always a good bet. It is a smart look, which will cut you above the average bear, but not be too formal. Personally I stay away from pattern shirts and stick to plain. No logos or decorations. Roll up the sleeves, never button all the way up, and stay loose.

-A decent leather jacket is an essential. Don't get a WW2/Indiana Jones brown beaten bomber, but get a regular fitting jacket. (I steer clear of bombers entirely, their grip to the torso when zipped restricts movement and drags your undergarments in unison.)

-Accessorise. Get some signature bracelets/necklaces. I have a wraparound right-wrist leather bracelet that I never take off, my signature item. It has been with me during the darker times, the times i've been fingering gals, the landmark moments of my life to date etc. Don't go full Orange County with the surf style, but leather is always a safe bet. I can refer a good eBay seller if need be.

Few pointers which has yielded very positive results for myself and made me dress the part as a proper adult.

You don't have to dress in a suit and tie everywhere necessarily, but some nice button-up shirts. Dark jeans just to go out to eat with your friends. LOOK CLEAN!
Invest in some new shoes. Skate shoes are cool and all but they won't give off the clean look. That's more of a going to your friend's house type of style. I'm not downing them don't worry lol

But definitely invest in new shoes, shirts, nice jeans (dark blue, grey, etc), dress pants. I recommend cologne highly. Ask females which one would smell better on you.

A whole new wardrobe is going to take money obviously but definitely better to spend money on that than something else that isn't going to get you where you want to be style wise.

I recommend express, Guess, H&M, Banana Republic (maybe) or even your local Macy's and JC Penny. They have really good clothes there.

Good luck!

I used to wear hoodies all the time but got nowhere no matter how expensive it was, I found they seem to intimidate and even scare away people. (Great for nighttime when you're on your own and don't want someone bothering you though) Everytime I wear a nice long-sleeved shirt (Usually red and checkered or just plain white) it's attracts people and lots of people talk to me. I have one tattoo of my star-sign on my left arm and a basic gold earring on my left ear-lobe, I wear two rings (One on each hand) one of an eagle with a ruby-like stone and one of a dragon with a red eye (Both silver rings) Sometimes I wear a silver dragon pendant and almost always wear blue jeans with a gold chain hanging from it, good black shoes for getting into clubs (We have the worst bouncers on the globe here) otherwise black runners with green laces. That's pretty much my outfit for a nightout hoping to attract girls, I have worn outfits in the past that dont suit me at all and im considering getting some sort of peacocking hat. Im guessing hoodies are a big no for attracting girls though, most girls i've kissed i've worn a plain white long sleeved shirt

I had suspicions hoodies were wrong for attraction but thanks for clarifying that for me :)

A best quality multivitamin and mineral supplement is a good concept for weight gain, Some people considered that their muscle mass increases with the help of protein supplements that contain certain blends of amino acids....

Don't knock hoodies down too much, the are great in a more casual setting because you can take them off! Plus its a lot easier to leave a 50 dollar hoodie on a barstool or at a table than it is to walk away from a 300 dollar leather jacket. I've noticed that girls acessorise heavily, (duh, right?) and some wear layered clothes just so they have something they can take off when they get to a new place. Its even a borderline IOI and at least a sign of increasing comfort and rapport. They do it to get attention as well, like when a girl you are near but not necessarily talking directly to takes off an outer layer. When anybody does it it says "I'm comfortable and confident where I'm at." Girls also do it to mark territory. Think about that the next time one takes off their cute little jacket, plops it over the back of a chair near you and dissapears into the bathroom with a friend. I personally recommend putting a bit of thought into the hoodie. It should be lighter in color, have some kind of cool design on it to show off, and be very soft looking and touchable. Also, always run with a zipper hoodie. Anything you have to pull over your head has the potential to create akwardness. Stay away from dark colors, and anything with crappy looking swag patterns. Use it as a peacock piece or don't do it at all.
