I wanted to see if I could help with something here that I'm sure many people go through that are reading this.
Hair loss - It sucks.
I started losing my hair at 16, now 23, and luckily it has moved pretty slowly and I'm doing stuff now to help fight going bald all the way.
I recognize that inner game is important and is something that I'm still working on, but I know that I want every edge available to me when I'm trying to game.
I wanted to post my regimen for what I do to help fight it and document my results for my own purposes for anyone else that might be interested in looking into how to overcome this.
For those familiar with the NW scale, I'm about an NW3 (Look it up if you want to know where you are at).
I've recently started my SPAM and am seeing some results, albeit a big meager so far (1 month in).
-Twice daily minoxidil (rogaine) - once in the morning and once in the evening. This is a growth stimulant which restores blood flow to the scalp which allows new hairs to be grown in as well as thickened.
-Once daily finasteride (Propecia) - Try to take it at the same time daily. This helps to prevent the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone which is the essential cause of male pattern baldness. Consult your physician before taking as there are potential side effects.
-Once every other day Nizoral shampoo - Contains SPAM which helps with the irritation of the scalp.
I have started to see new growth coming in the temples after one month of SPAM so far, but the best results can take up to a year to attain.
I will be posting some pics shortly to show my progress for those that are hoping to fight this and want some encouragement.
Good luck all and anyone else that has anything to contribute, I would appreciate it.
