I have on many dates been in a location where we had to sit in two chairs at a table. These are standard wooden chairs. Naturally I like to put my arms on the table and lean forward. I don't like to sit back and posture up. But I noticed today that this makes me look down a lot, and that can make me look like I'm cowering to a woman sitting across from me.

Is there any guides to sitting and making yourself have good tonality, or however it's phrased.

There are a plethora of books on body language that address standing and sitting. Pick one up online or borrow one from a library.

When seated at a table, it's important to focus on your posture. Make sure that you're sitting straight up and that your shoulders aren't rolled forward. Since the lower half of your body is generally considered to be a direct indicator of your sexual confidence, your legs should be at least shoulder-width apart. What you do with your hands and arms will vary depending on the specifics of your game.

The only exception I make in carrying good posture is when I'm seated in a lounge at a club. Then I relax, take up as much space as I can, and mentally envision the venue belonging to myself. "This is MY house."
