novelty boxers? does it show you're fun or does it imply childishness?

i was just wondering on everyone's opinions, when you take a girl back and you take off your trousers and you're wearing a pair of fun novelty boxers(comic book, film, tv, music etc.) could this be a turn off for some girls? surely if you've gotten far enough with them to take off your trousers it shouldn't really change much but i was just wondering if is a good idea to have a pair to show your fun or would it be a turn off?
