Growing up, I had a lot of mouth problems. Overcrowding, mostly, but as I got older, I stopped getting it taken care of. Money issues.

So now that I'm twenty, and getting close to getting my bachelor's degree, I'm trying to go back and fix things about myself that I'd been neglecting over the years. I went in to get an estimate of the work that needed to be done, and the dude very strongly suggested that I get braces.

I'd have them on for about two years, and I'll be 21 or 22 by the time I can afford to do this.

What do you guys think about the whole thing? How do you imagine it will affect my game, my confidence, etc. Should I spend the next few years concentrating on getting the other parts of my life together (Slide into my career, nice place, etc), and then start off fresh?

if i was in your position, i would get the braces, they are going to be uncomfortable and its obviously not wanted by any women, but they usually are only on for about 2-3 years and after that you will have a nice smile for the rest of your life

it was easily the best decision of my life to get braces, i was 16 when i got them, so much more confidence after i got them off, i wasnt worried about my crooked teeth anymore, i got a bleaching kit afterward and now i never have to worry about it again

the 2-3 years will be worth it for the following 10-20 years you will be picking up women

Yeah don't worry about the braces man. Better to get them out of the way now. Trust me. I'm 26 and going to be getting braces myself shortly. I regret not getting them earlier. For me it was a financial issue as well. My teeth aren't horrible but I do have a small gap in between my two front teeth. Having a nice smile is a definite bonus and I think one of the big things women look at. So go for it! Maybe check out the Invisaline braces if you are worried about having noticeable metal braces. I personally think I would have progressed alot further in my social skills with women and people in general if it wasn't for my anxiety over my teeth. Go for it!

don't stop short with one orthodontist... some of the more experienced doctors can do alot with retainers. it takes longer, but atleast you can take them out.

But they don´t fit to every SPAM and lets support the guy man if you can have and need them, use them. About the small gap the other dude mentioned I got it and I simly don´t care anymore.
Back to part one of the post, man sure you can manage to get the girls despite of the bracers. Seriously don´t let half brained bitches opinions interfere in your health.

well i didnt feel like reading the other replys on this subject but i myself am 20 and have braces which ive had since the ripe age of 15....right now there just a part of me and its kinda like a peacocking thing ive been complimented on the color choice of my bands(techno club....they had blacklights and i had blacklight reactive bands on) and also caught a woman who actually has a fetish for braces.....but yeah my advice just get them......i actually might miss mine when i get the off within the next couple months
