Peacocking with your shoes?

What do you guys think about going with the same shoe but in 2 diffrent colors? Say White on one foot Black on the other? Not 2 diffrent styles though... the exact same one?

I'm feild testing kind of a preliminary version of this tonight. I'm taking one of my favorite pairs of white shoes and leaving one with it's white laces and putting black laces in the other one.

My instincts tell me this will work like a charm peacocking wise... I'll post back with results from the laces test.

laces seem fine to me, but shoes altogether seem a little..much?

For a while back in high school I used to have both a gold and a silver pair of Nike dunks, and some time's I would wear one of each and I got a million compliments about them daily.

It worked, with just the laces. Not alot of comments but I did get 2.

If you are going to do something with your laces check out this site:

they have all different styles of lacing, which, while subtle, add a nice flair to the shoe...

shit, you are talking to a guy who loves fashion. I think if the outfit calls for a chance to wear both shoes, do the damn thing. Hell, I remember for my prom, I had on all white tux and light blue belt, and all white and light blue air jordans. Something about feeling ultimately cool about yourself, just do it.

I favour a pair of bowling shoes myself.

Although you'd think you'd come across as a gypo who can't afford their own shoes, you're pretty much guaranteed half a dozen women coming up to chat with you about where you got them from.

I personally think a pair of matching unusual shoes beats anything generic, no matter how much you mix it up, but as always, it's all down to preference :)

This just sounds like a bad idea. It sounds like a cheap shot to stand out from the crowd. Then again, if you have the personallity to back this up then why not give it a go. But imo symmetry is really important for attraction and even if you were wearing some nice clothes, odd shoes would ruin the whole thing.
