I am a 24 year old man who has dressed like a boy his whole life. Not only that but I have dropped near 75lbs in the last year. My wardrobe is a complete disaster at the moment. I have running shoes and sneakers, no mens shoes. I have 20 t-shirts that are 2 sizes too big. I have sweat pants.... and cargo shorts that are two big. I have jeans that are too big.

It is really a sad situation, but this summer I plan on going out 3-4 nights a week. So time to build up my wardrobe.

First Outfit I am building up.

Wool Flannel Gray Pants( I think the shade I like is Light Charcoal)
Satin Stripe Mens Shirt
Dress shoes ( I am thinking brown or maybe a reddish brown)
Belt to match the shoes.

I am going for a look that I have nice clothes and style but I'm relaxed (to give off a look less try hard look). So the shirt and pants will be tailored to be fitted. But the shirt will be un-tucked and un-buttoned close to the top.

So I am new to actually trying to dress nice. Any advice on anything I can add to this outfit to peacock it/ make it pop. Also what color and type of shoes would be good for this (would I want loafers or ...)(would brown, red be better than black shoes for outfit). Also I have seen button downs made by affliction and crap, how can I make my outfit more style and less fashion ( last thing I want is to be put in there category)

If you want to dress nice I suggest checking out this blog: http://masculinestyle.wordpress.com/

I started reading it but don't have the necessary funds or reason to invest in some of the styles. Very soon though!
