Generally a hair style is dependant on what kind of face shape you have. I think whatever hair stlye you think would fit you best or you'd feel most comfortable in will be the best.

. It's congruent with my style as well (vintage rocker). I just give off that "I don't care, this is how I want to look and if you don't like it I could care less" vibe. I can also tie it back as well. I also like when it's down because it really sets me aside from me the crowd. People see me and they say "Woah"
. It's also a way to really weed out women. I suggest that - if you'd rather have any kind of women you could go short. But when you have long hair, it's usually girls who either don't care about it or like it. I've closed many girls who've said, "Btw, you have amazing hair". And I've heard from many others say, "Get a damn haircut!". You never usually hear, "Grow your friggin hair!" lol.
Your hairstyle should definitely be somewhat congruent with your style depending on how you'd like to wear it. My only two styles are - Wear it down like I just came off stage, or pull it back mystery style and sometimes wear a beanie.
