New to the community here but I feel like I can add to this.
What works for me personally is colorful graphic tees and Nike dunks (highs or lows). Also, throw some gel in your hair and don't make it look too crazy or too normal.

If you're going to a club, think of the guys who go there, how do they look?
-Look anything but that! =)

At the club's and bar's that I got to, the guys always wear regular bright coloured shirts and short hair.

I have pretty long black hair (not natural colour) hair (down to my mouth), metal head outfit with skin tight black jeans and band t-shirts. I also wear make-up (kohl) under my eyes, which makes me look like the guy from green day! =)

So when you're peacocking you have to think of, how does the other guys dress?

Good luck!

You gotta first learn to be comfortable wearing something before you can wear it comfortably.

Only way to get there is to wear it. I have made a topic about this once.

Go to Primark and check out the cheap flashy womens belts, bracelets ect. you would probly find a item or two that would suit you as well as bringing attention to you.

I do that and always go and ask the girl opinion on a guy wearing womens accessories...and so on

Good Luck

I wear bright pink polos and other bright colored ralph lauren and lacoste stuff. Popping the collar will get you some attention because although it may seem common, very few people actually have the balls to pop their collar without feeling like a douche.
... Don't pop your collar, please don't.

Even if you are a really nice guy, girls (and guys) will associate you with being a douche and not want to talk to you. Bad, bad taste imo. If you want to fit in with the gangsta/wangsta crowd then fine, by all means. But it's a major turn off for women.

Pink is good though. I recommend going out clubbing in a bright pink or bright orange dress shirt, maybe with a chain and with a nice watch. I just bought this super bright pink dress shirt and women open me just by talking about it. Seriously. The whole point of standing out is:
1. For attention.
2. For giving a girl something to talk to you about or approach you.
The girls that have opened me about my shirt "Nice shirt!" "Is that shirt really pink? or is it just the light?" don't actually give a fuck about my shirt. But if they see me and I look like a high value man (around women, relaxed, smiling, well groomed) then they have something easy and cued up to talk to me about. (Wearing bright colors and peacocking is also a bit of a DHV because it shows women that you are comfortable in attire that many men wouldn't be.)

I've worn that shirt 4 times, and each time I have at least k-closed. Last time f-close.
