You and i kinda have the same style here, but completely different body types. You are kinda tall and skinny, and im short and stalky. That being said its best if you highlight your assets. If you want intelectiual chicks, you might have to switch up your style a bit. It will be tough to pull a smart sexy buisness oriented woman while wearing an element t-shirt and baggy jeans.

I understand that you were just showing off your clothes, but don't ever wear the brown hat with the black jacket that looks terrible.

You need to highlight your lanykyness. Tighter jeans, and t-shirts. Wear more shirts that have horizontal stripes. It will give the appearance that you have broader shoulders. I really like the button up shirt. Roll up the sleeves, tuck it in and find a slender tie. The skinny ties will compliment your body style.

Wearing just a t-shirt makes you look normal and average. Adding in the blazer makes you stand out though. The bright green t-shirt with black blazer looked great together. I really like the contrast. Get a decent necklace, a couple rings and a watch that stands out more. Wear some tighter jeans.

Avoid the dark blue shirt or brown shirt with you black jackets. If your shirt is faded and the jacket is not, then its going to look terrible. The dark blue shirt under the jacket looks like it almost matches but then you failed.

No Brown and black together!!!!!! Unless you have a tie with the brown and black in it.

Hope this helps.

Level, that shirt under that t-shirt really doesn't go well.

The blazer looks cool, but again, don't ruin it by wearing that shirt/t-shirt combo.
Yeah, I thought too it doesn't look good, but I wanted to know whether you guys would say something like "wow, this is awesome" ;)

I think you should style your hair a bit better too. The close up ones at the end where your hair is falling down on to your forehead in the middle, I don't think you should let your hair go down like that. You should try dry waxing your hair and give it a bit more volume and more texture/layering.
I find hairstyling is quite difficult :D No, seriously, they always look strange, I can use whatever gel I want... perhaps I should get a really really strong one, but they all say they're strong, but they all aren't. But thanks for the input, I'll try to put some more effort in styling my hair from now on!

Okay, I'll buy me some button ups.

Uhm, I always wear it like that. Isn't black kind of neutral and fits with everything?

I'm not really thin. Just looks like that, but I have a little belly :) And tight jeans are bad for my testicles... :( No one wear's ties here in Switzerland at my age, so it would be quite peacockin', but I don't know whether I can handle this pressure :) I could only wear it when I go out for sarging and don't wear it all day long though...

I've got 2 rings now, as mentionend, and a necklace. But it all looks kind of cheap. But I guess it's better like this at the beginning, I've got to come in the right mood for wearing necklaces and rings before buying better looking but also more expensive items.

Haha, okay, thanks for the advice :D

Black and brown are both neutral. Thats why it doesn't work. If you wear black shoes black hat and a brown belt it doesnt match. It should coordinate. Black hat, black jacket, black shoes black belt, black watch. Then accent with a bright shirt and decent jeans. Same applies to brown. Get it?

Again, the only way to pull off black and brown is if you have a tie that has those colors or a shirt with both of those colors. It won't work any other way.

Would you wear brown socks with black shoes? No. Its about tones and hughes.

If you are not that skinny and have kind of a belly then you should wear a dark shirt with a light jacket on top. That will hide any belly you have. Like wear a dark brown shirt with a khaki jacket. Lighter colors will show off any gut you have. If you wear a yellow shirt and a black jacket it will make you look fatter than you are. It looks bad.

Rock the tie when you have the confidence to do so. Plan to stand out if not alot of people wear a tie. But make it part of your attire. Slowly start to dress better and the comfort with the tie will naturally come.

Ah, okay, I understood it. And I should start to workout instead of just dressing black :D

I found that the social pressure of standing out isn't even that high. I mean I've got my nails painted black now because of the carneval few days ago, and I'm starting to become comfortable with those. Even though I don't know whether it's that easy when the carneval excuse is gone :D

Hehe, okay, I'm gonna have my blazer on next time I go out.

Here are the rings and the necklace I bought in detail.

http://img98.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscf1371ko8.jpg

They cost 15 bugs all together, so I can't complain. Also following the thread "the perfect peacocking item" or something and added a hair rubber or whatever those are called. :D I didn't buy it though, a girl gave it to me.

and this is just another pic, just in case you're intrested. Black nails, uuh :P

Level,
Not everybody can pull the "T-shirt over button up" look off. In fact, it needs to be a good mix to even try it. I think the way LA Tripp uses the style in his pic doesn't look good at all. The T-shirt and the button up need to compliment each other. Not clash. Take for instance the outfit I'm wearing below. The button up shirt has tiny stripes in it to contrast the solid of the t-shirt. Some of the stripes are also a green color that matches that of my T-shirt design. It flows together very well.

That said, I do like the blazer you have, and remember to get clothes that are going to be form fitting.

So you think that I can't pull off the t-shirt over button up look? I just think it looks cheap somehow, because I've had the short sleeve over long sleeve style a few years ago because there were more cool T-Shirts with good motives than long sleeves and T-Shirts are also cheaper, so I bought plain long sleeves and pulled over a cool T-Shirt :) But it's a little bit different with a button up, I admit that. I bought myself a new button up (see below), so now I've got twoo button ups, really much ain't it :D How many different shirts and trousers and stuff do you guys have anyway? I've got lots and lots of (old) T-shirts, about 5 trousers, 5 comfortable pullovers and 1 pair of shoes :P I know, should get another pair or another two pairs.

Teh button up:

I also took the time to style my hair, like Ingredients said I should do. So I tried to model my hair with a ton of gel. This is how it looked like:

Ah, and yesterday and the day before yesterday I went out with my blazer on, but it wasn't like all girls are jumping on me now... :(

Even though I looked soo sharp:

Thanks for posting saqchek!

I didn't say you couldn't pull it off. I simply said not everybody can pull it off, much like my shaved head. Not everybody can look good with a shaved head. Your style has to be congruent with who you are and the frame you display. I only mentioned that I thought LA Tripp's version of the T-shirt over button up looked bad. (and it does in my opinion) You have to find a style that fits you.

I'm not really feeling that shirt with that outfit. I would go with something with color in it. color = good

You can use that blazer in two ways.

Dress nice - wear blazer with hat and nice colorful button up.

Dress casual- wear blazer with nice t-shirt underneath and top it off with jeans.

Hm... It starts to get difficult ;) I don't have a frame to display which would define any style, if you know what I mean. When I'd be an business man, then I would have to dress nicely and if I was a rock star I'd have to dress like one. But I study physics, that would imply that I dress nerdy :D Or I could dress like a metal head, because I listen to metal, but I don't like the whole metal-style all too much. I hope you can see my point, I know who I am, but I don't see a "pre-scripted" style for my personality. So I have do develop my own personal style, I guess ;) :P :D

I mean, I understand that you wouldn't walk around like a business man when you're a rock star, but isn't "a style that suits my personality" (rockstar has to dress like rockstar etc.) a bit stereotypical?

Also I'd like to pick up more educated women like discussed previously, and this kind of forces me to dress a little better than casual. Probabely I just have to experiment a lot and see what has best responses of the women I want. I feel comfortable in almost everything I wear, I can dress casual and feel myself confident, but when I went out with my blazer on I didn't feel insecure either.

You're right about the colors. This outfit in the last pic looks kind of boring. Blue jeans with blazer might look more interesting. What's underneath the blazer shouldn't matter that much, you almost don't see it :) Black hat, black blazer, black trousers looks like I'm going to a funeral. :(

I didn't understand your comment Ace, did you say that to saqchek or to me? Me ain't educated in slang language, what means you're going out on the ale? :D

I watched through a couple of collections of men's fashion. I liked best the collection 2005 of D&G, for example

or

I recognized that I found the bright clothes to be much more interesting than the dark ones. Though black suits me better :(

On the fotos I didn't try to match everything, I just wanted to show you guys what kind of shirts and trousers I have and I wanted to know whether they are cool or boring :) Hm, I don't think vintage is really my style, but I could give it a shot. Though I dunno whether there are any vintage shops in Switzerland :) I want my hair long again, so I won't trim them in the near future. But you give me good ideas and opinions, thank you!

This would be a little more dressed up:

and
http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... allxo5.jpg

I just don't feel confident enough to wear a blazer when I go out :(

Edit: I went shopping today, you were right, it doesn't have to be expensive. I bought 2 hats, each 10 dollars, 2 rings and 2 necklaces (one of them is really stupid :D) each item for five bugs and a shirt for fourty. This is the stuff: http://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... allqc1.jpg
Right, i'm going to give you a rundown on this post, then the following ones.

The first pic. The outfit doesn't look right i'm sorry to say. You have a blazer, fine. But to wear a shirt with a t-shirt over it, and wear a blazer over them both looks wrong. I do see what you're trying to do there though. My tip is to wear a v-neck sweater (merino wool, so a really thin cardigan then, not a stodgy one) over your long sleeved shirts. Never wear a t-shirt over a shirt again as it looks haphazard imo. Use the blazer elsewhere in your wardrobe, with a vest, a long sleeved shirt over the top, then the blazer.

I do like the blue striped top you have, as i have something similar myself. Hats are hard to pull off, i never wear them as they don't suit me.

Here's a pic of me posing in my blue striped top, grey v-neck sweater. I also have on dark wash regular jeans (light wash/ripped jeans are out of fashion) and a pair of white Converse on. Notice the red enamel AIDS ribbon badge i have on (i liked it because it's red, and it's a talking point when girls ask what it's for a la peacocking, but not taking the proverbial with painted nails, top hats ect)

Judge for yourself. Ignore the sneer. :*)
