Umm yeah tricky one. Try to be more consious of these when your out and then maybe you can correct them.
Its hard to tell how fast you talk and what your voice really sounds like because you here half of it from inside your head. Try recording a phone call or something and see how it really sounds to others. Then you maybe able to speed it up.
I think i talk abit too deep sometimes so i try to speak more from the tip of my tongue and faster or smoother. But its when i smoke heavy, suppose i'll have to quit.

Mozy has a point about recording. Record your self talking, maybe to a friend or even read part of a story. Listen and take mental notes on what you need to fix. Then just keep practicing on your speech. Time yourself if you feel like that could help.

In high school, I took Speech Class. The teacher had us practice the piece we wrote in front of a mirror and we had to time ourselves until we perfected it.

I really don't know if I helped at all :? , but give it a shot. It might work for you!

I really wouldn't worry about it much. In my experience girls tend to like little oddities like that, and if you come across as confident then I think it is a bonus to your personality. If it is what is natural to you, and if you are confident in your approach, then I really wouldn't be worried about it.

Cool guys don't rush out their words, we take our time 8)

I remember reading somewhere (dont remeber maybe the game) that what you should do to get your speed right is to calibrate the opposite extreme...

Let me explain.

If you talk 'too slow" then speak what feels to be 'too fast' to you, record it or simply ask a good friends opinion. If they say its too fast now adjust.

This concpet can be used for alot of things from humor to cockiness to attitude etc.

usually if your at one extreme the opposite of that for you is generally about where you should be.
