So I recently became a Marine(MCRDPI for those wondering) and have a high and tight haircut. I was wondering if i should shave the sides or not...

Welcome back Whitey. Have fun at Parris Island?

Yeah, I'll bet.

Congrats and Semper Fi.

Onto your question.. That's a personal choice, but I never did.

If fact, I enjoyed keeping my hair at the edge of regulations, unless I was going into the field, to school or something. It enabled me to blend in somewhat out in public.

Anything that screams service member, etc.. can sometimes be a double edged sword in certain social circles.

I gotta say even though I only shave a couple of times a week, I think most women prefer the shave. Either way right now I'm beating them off with a stick!
