I have a tendency to lean against walls, counters, tables etc. Would it be better to stand tall as opposed to leaning against objects? 2ndly when listening where would the ideal place to put your hands be? I have a tendency to form a steeple but have been adviced by mates to keep my hands at my sides. Thanks

Leaning is fine. Just don't do it at a club dancefloor -- it looks ridiculous.

I try to keep my hands on my hips or crossed when I'm listening. I'm a hand talker, though.

Leaning and looking comfortable is a natural way to lock in to places, be more relaxed, and is perfectly fine. My hands are usually in front of me if I'm talking (I'm expressive), my arms are folded, have my thumbs hooked into my pockets, or they are at my sides.
