Just like learning PUA or any skill, you take a little from everyone instead of learnig from a single source. Sounds like you are picking up on the things he is doing well so do what he does and combine it with what you see other alphas actions.

And you obviously have the attention to detail required so keep it up.

Try reading a few books on body language such as, Body Language-James borg
i found it incredibly useful
