1) RELAX. The more anxious you get, the tighter your vocal chords are, the more they're going to strain when you talk. Make a conscious effort to remain chilled the fuck out at all times.
2) Breath deeply. To the point where your stomach pokes out a little bit. This is what people are referring to when they tell singers to "sing with your diaphragm."
3) Treat any sinus issues you might have. A buddy of mine is 22 and his voice still fucks up from time to time when his allergies are bad, so it stands to reason that you could be suffering from the same thing.
