I must admit i am a sucker for a label, but over the last year i have started to design my own wear, create my own t shirts online, its actually really cheap, you can have your own logos, why not create your own brand?

That way it will be unique, and it will get people talking, a conversation piece, yeah i am not a follower of fashion i am a leader, i get tired of the same old mass produced shit that i decided it was about time i started setting trends not following them, cocky funny? maybe

Seriously though, i dont know why more people dont do this, instead of bitching about brands becoming to popular that they are no longer cool, what ever happened to creativity?

Peace

first off im not "bitching" about shit. once so many people wear something its not cool anymore. thats the way it is. i take my own way and dont ever look like someone else im with or will be in the same place as.

I wasnt saying you were bitching mate, it was in reference to my overall view of what i have read on a lot of the topics, it wasnt a shot at you by any means....

But who defines cool? Society? cool should be defined by yourself not by other people, dont you think Society control us too much as it is? I always find it fascinating that one person decides something is cool, and then force it on others, for instance take a look at the fashion industry, if most of us are being honest with ourselfs have the shit that parades down the cat walk is awful.... but because some deisgner says this is it, this is this YEAR this is the trend, folk just follow suit?

Not saying it is the case with all people but i would say the majority, whats your thoughts?

since ive been studying graphic design, ive sold more than a couple of designs to websites for some dough and frankly... what sells isnt that difficult to make
just a couple of overused vectors from here, some stars or grunge brushes from there and bam! you got a design people will pay 10 bucks a pop to wear that took about 20 minutes to make

in fact if you are handy with stencils its very simple to buy a shirt for like 3 bucks and put the stencil on the shirt with non washable fabric paint

that makes alot of sense. and i respect that but to me cool is just being yourself and different. not that dude who follows someone every word and looks and cant make up his own mind.
